Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston put up a dud in a Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He was targeted five times, the second most on the team, but was only able to come up with one catch for a nine yard gain. He added a rushing play in which he gained four yards on the ground. Johnston came into this game as the overall WR21, having scored three touchdowns in the past two games. This one was a little different, as he totaled less than two fantasy points in standard scoring and half-PPR formats. The Chargers actually threw the ball more times than they ran it for the first time this season, but Johnston just wasn't able to do much with the balls thrown his way. The Bolts will head into their Week 5 bye and will take on the Broncos in Denver in Week 6. Johnston should remain a large part of the passing game, but this was quite a dud for fantasy managers expecting to see his touchdown streak continue.
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston will look to make it three weeks in a row with a touchdown when the Chargers face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. Johnston scored twice in Week 2 and followed it up with another trip to the end zone in Week 3. The scores and a few long gains have shot the sophomore pass catcher up to an overall WR21 ranking through the first three weeks. Some of his underlying metrics aren't all that pretty, but results count and he's making things happen on the field. A matchup against a strong Kansas City secondary will be a good test for QJ, who leads the Chargers with a 31.6% first read share. There's a concerning floor, but an enticing ceiling as well, leaving him somewhere in the WR3 ranks as long as Justin Herbert (ankle) is able to start under center.
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston scored another touchdown in a Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Johnston's touchdown was the only one the Chargers scored in a slow offensive game. He was targeted twice and caught both for a total of 44 yards, including his 27-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. The Chargers offense only completed 14 passes, with Johnston tying for the team lead in receiving yards along with Ladd McConkey. Johnston looks like he's a completely different player than he was last season, and his fantasy arrow is certainly pointing way up even though Justin Herbert (ankle) may be forced to miss some time.
