Nine-time Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Juszczyk re-signed with the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday on a two-year, $8 million deal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Juszczyk will return to the Bay Area for his ninth year after the Niners released him back on Monday. The 33-year-old has never been on the fantasy radar, but he will continue to be a key blocking asset in the team's backfield for starting running back Christian McCaffrey (knee) in 2025. When Juszczyk does factor in on offense, it's usually through the air as a receiver. In his 12-year NFL career, he's caught 281 passes on 378 targets for 2,664 yards and 18 total touchdowns while carrying the ball only 67 times for 237 yards and six TDs. Last year in 17 games (15 starts), he had 19 catches on 31 targets for 200 yards and two scores, adding just five carries for 26 yards and one TD.

The San Francisco 49ers released nine-time Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Juszczyk on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. While Juszczyk isn't at all fantasy relevant and will turn 34 years of age in April, he wants to continue playing and could draw plenty of interest as a blocker out of the backfield. He was a former fourth-round pick (130th overall) by the Baltimore Ravens in 2013 out of Harvard and has been a Pro Bowler in each of the last nine seasons (eight with the 49ers). Juszczyk had 19 receptions on 31 targets for 200 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games (15 starts) for San Fran last year, adding only five rushing attempts for 26 yards and another score. He has never had more than 41 receptions or 324 yards in a single season in his 12 years in the NFL and has been used even less as a ball-carrier out of the backfield. The 49ers will save $2.9 million on the 2025 salary cap with a $3.57 million dead-money hit.

San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk hauled in two of his three targets for 40 yards in the team's Week 1 win over the Jets. Juszczyk was on the field for 40 snaps and ran 17 routes. The versatile back made the most of his three targets in the absence of Christian McCaffrey. However, he did not see any carries out of the backfield. Despite being a fullback, Juszczyk operates as a second tight end in a lot of ways. Until he sees more targets, though, he is not a fantasy-relevant player. He's a great weapon for a loaded 49ers offense and creates mismatches on the field but he just doesn't get the volume necessary for fantasy purposes.
