Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol, head coach Kevin Stefanski said on Wednesday. Tillman suffered his concussion in the Week 12 win over the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers and hasn't practiced or played since. The 24-year-old will likely miss the first practice of the week on Wednesday as the team prepares to face the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16. Tillman still has a few more days to make progress, but as of right now, the second-year pass-catcher appears to be on his way to missing yet another game. The Browns were also without tight end David Njoku (hamstring) in the Week 15 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Receiver Jerry Jeudy has gone off in recent weeks and is the only trustworthy fantasy wideout in Cleveland at the time, although that could change this week with Dorian Thompson-Robinson taking over at QB.
Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he's "hopeful" that wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) can return and play in Week 16 against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals this coming Sunday. Stefanski said that Tillman is "getting better" after sustaining a concussion in the team's Week 12 upset win over the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24-year-old second-year wideout has not played since, although he appears to be getting close to clearing the NFL's concussion protocol. We'll keep a close eye on Tillman's practice status this week. If he does make it back to play this weekend, it might be quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson running the offense after Jameis Winston was benched in the Week 15 loss to the Chiefs. Tillman had a nice run from Weeks 7-9 (21-255-3 line), but his fantasy value could be negatively affected by a QB change in Cleveland upon his return.
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's match against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Scott Petrak of the Chronicle-Telegram. Tillman will now miss his third straight contest since sustaining a concussion during their Week 12 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Before this injury, Tillman was beginning to turn the corner on his slow start, averaging 15.4 PPR points per game with 66.0 yards per game during Weeks 7 through 12. As a result, fantasy managers should expect Jerry Jeudy to operate as the clear WR1 in the passing attack, with Elijah Moore moving up to the No. 2 spot on the depth chart. Both are viable options this weekend in all formats while facing a Chiefs secondary that has allowed the 16th-most PPR points to opposing wide receivers this season.
