According to the team, Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie III (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Saturday's playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Metchie opened the week as a non-participant but was able to upgrade each day, ending the week off with a full session on Thursday. However, the wideout was unable to avoid a questionable tag. However, seeing him return to full practice on Thursday suggests he is in a good position to suit up on Saturday afternoon. With Tank Dell (knee) sidelined, Metchie has seen an average of six targets over the past two weeks and tallied 36.0 yards per game. If Metchie were to suit up, he should be viewed as a viable flex option in DFS formats, as he should continue to operate as the No.2 wideout in the Houston offense, opposite of Nico Collins.

Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie III (shoulder) was back on the practice field on Wednesday after missing Tuesday's session due to a shoulder injury. The 2022 second-round pick out of Alabama could play a meaningful role in the postseason after season-ending injuries to Stefon Diggs (knee) and Tank Dell (knee). In Houston's final three regular-season contests, he totaled 16 targets, nine receptions, and 89 yards. Pro Bowl wideout Nico Collins is the clear No. 1 option in C.J. Stroud's passing attack, but assuming Metchie is ready to go against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, he's a candidate to see several opportunities through the air.

According to the team, Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie III (shoulder) did not practice on Tuesday. The 24-year-old wideout exited Sunday's game early. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the week as he could be in danger of missing Saturday's contest against the Los Angeles Chargers. Before exiting, Metchie saw four targets and brought in two of them for 24 yards. In Week 17, Metchie saw a season-high eight targets. With Tank Dell (knee) out for the remainder of the season, Metchie should operate as the clear No.2 wideout in this offense for the remainder of the playoffs. If Metchie were to miss Saturday's playoff game, fantasy managers should expect Robert Woods, Xavier Hutchinson, or Diontae Johnson to move up the depth chart.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz finished the regular season by catching all three of his targets for 26 yards in a 23-14 victory at Tennessee. The Texans already were locked into the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs prior to the game, so they gave starting quarterback C.J. Stroud one drive before giving way to backup Davis Mills. The veteran tight end still managed an average game despite key players getting most of the day off and a game plan that ended with more rushing attempts (29) than passing attempts (28). Schultz and the Texans will turn their attention to the postseason, where they will play host to a Wild Card game.

Playing in relief on Sunday, Houston Texans backup quarterback Davis Mills completed 12 of 22 passes for 128 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in a victory at Tennessee. Houston was already set as the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs, so the team gave starter C.J. Stroud the day off after throwing a touchdown pass to wide receiver Nico Collins on the first drive of the game. With many key players out of the game, Mills took over under center and did a serviceable job, avoiding any major mistakes and adding 11 rushing yards on three carries. He'll return to being the backup when Houston plays host to a Wild Card game next week.
