Week 6 of the Hall of Fantasy league is behind us and as one bye week closes, another one opens as we have some of the most fantasy-relevant teams on a bye in Week 7.
If you are unfamiliar with the league, they do a fantastic job of laying everything out clearly and concisely on their homepage:
“The HOFL consists of 10 Football Franchises representing key markets throughout the U.S. Teams will be managed by a dedicated Front Office of fantasy experts who will compete on behalf of their respective Stakeholders.”
For more information, I wrote up the ins and outs of the entire league, including who is involved. You can read it here.
In regards to this piece, in particular, this will be a weekly piece highlighting where things stand in the league and a matchup to look forward to in the upcoming week.
Stake Rankings
The biggest draw to the HOFL is a fan’s ability to stake a team and have skin in the game without needing to keep up with the day-to-day management. Below is a reminder as to where teams ranked heading into the season in terms of the total stake, with the Vegas Pocket Kings being the league leaders.
Stake Rank | Team (GM) |

Week 6’s matchup of the week featured two teams with different records, but the score was tightly projected nonetheless, as the NY Bodega Cats faced off with the LA Sidekicks.
The entire box score is below.
Week 6 Recap – Hall of Fantasy League
The game went from being a tightly projected game before kickoff to an absolute bloodbath. The Bodega Cats won in the most triumphant fashion of any team this season with a 212.76 to 128.96 victory over the Sidekicks.
The Bodega Cats’ ceiling game came on the backs of massive performances by Jonathan Taylor (28.3), Darrell Henderson (23.7), Leonard Fournette (27.7) and Cooper Kupp (29.5). On the flip side, the floor games from Marquise Brown (5.5), Michael Pittman (4.8) and Lamar Jackson (11.78) gave the Sidekicks virtually no shot at competing.
After their matchup, the NY Bodega Cats moved to 4-2, while the LA Sidekicks dropped to 1-5-0. Below is a snapshot of how the entire league is shaking out:
Record | Team | Points Scored | FAAB |
6-0-0 | Atlanta Hotwings | 979 | $45 |
4-2-0 | NY Bodega Cats | 1059 | $47 |
4-2-0 | Ohio GOATS | 1049 | $12 |
4-2-0 | Chicago Hogmollies | 1041 | $70 |
3-3-0 | Boston Barflies | 928 | $4 |
3-3-0 | Vegas Pocket Kings | 923 | $53 |
2-4-0 | Seattle Haze | 871 | $42 |
2-4-0 | Philly Powderkegs | 818 | $13 |
1-5-0 | LA Sidekicks | 909 | $10 |
1-5-0 | Texas Y’allers | 827 | $50 |
We saw some movement this week, as the Bodega Cats move up to second, two games back of the still-undefeated Hotwings. We also saw the Powderkegs jump out of last place with a nice showing while the Pocket Kings have snuck into the projected playoff picture.
Week 7 could be yet another opportunity for teams to move up or down in the standings. With so many bye weeks on tap, teams in the league are still working on adjusting their lineups. Because of this, there is not a matchup of the week for Week 7. Instead, let’s take a look at the overall matchups across the league for the upcoming week.
