The New York Giants are hosting the 0-2 Atlanta Falcons in Week 3 as both are looking to get their first win. The Falcons offense looked like they finally arrived for the NFL season but are slated as dogs in this matchup as the oddsmakers have them losing by a field goal.

Opening odds – Falcons-Giants

Both teams are in search of their first win this weekend, so someone is almost certainly getting off the schneid. The Falcons gave their fans some hope in Week 2 as they seemed to be clicking on offense until Tom Brady called it game in the fourth quarter with 20 unanswered points. Meanwhile, the Giants lost to the Washington Football Team in the last minute after an offsides call on a missed field goal gave Washington a second shot. Now the oddsmakers believe this will come down to another field goal.

Quarterback analysis – Matt Ryan vs. Daniel Jones

Matt Ryan has the weapons around him to have a successful offense, but he keeps hitting obstacles. While things looked good in the first half Sunday, it became sour at the end of the third quarter. Ryan finished the game with 300 passing yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. It was good for the Falcons fans to see the touchdowns finally show up after a dead quiet Week 1, but the interceptions made sure things were too good to be true.

Daniel Jones had the opportunity to face off against the Washington Football Team, which he has played pretty well against in his career. He threw for 249 yards with one touchdown and was very effective on the ground. He rushed for 95 scores with a rushing touchdown, doing his best Konami Code impression.

Latest Falcons betting news & info

There is a lot that people want to trust with the Falcons offense but it’s hard as they have not fully performed yet. The duo of Ryan and Calvin Ridley was dangerous last season, but they are having a slow start to this season. The offense ranks 25th for total yards, 24th for passing and rushing but also 29th for points scored, 15.5 per game.

The defensive side is not better as they are currently allowing the second-most points already with 40 per game. The defense also has just one takeaway while allowing the 20th-most yards per game with 387.5. Both sides of the football need to get it together or this New York Giants team may just be able to dominate them.

Latest Giants betting news & info

We all are getting what we expected from the Giants as they come in 0-2 this week. They lost to the Denver Broncos in Week 1 and weren’t able to cover the spread but then came in and gifted the Washington Football Team a victory in Week 2 while managing to cover. With this week’s total being the highest of the three weeks so far at 48.5, can it be achieved?

This Giants offense is averaging 352.5 yards per game but averaging just 21 points. While the offense isn’t that productive, the Giants aren’t turning the ball over as much as some expected — just one through the first two games. Now, neither team’s defense is great, so the over actually may be achieved this time around. The Giants defense is giving up 28.5 points per game, ninth overall in the NFL.

Falcons vs. Giants betting picks – NFL Week 3

This game is going to be a shootout — not because of the quarterbacks, but because it features two struggling defense. I believe this game gets so ugly that 48.5 points is achievable before it’s all said and done. For the spread, I think Ryan and the Falcons get the job done here and win outright to get their first win of the season. Kyle Pitts looked more comfortable, and with the way Cordarrelle Patterson was used, if done again, this Falcons team should secure the victory.

Here are our betting picks for Falcons vs. Giants in Week 3.
