The Cleveland Browns will host the Chicago Bears in Week 3, and Chicago fans may just see Justin Fields finally start under center. Heading into Sunday, Chicago finds themselves as dogs as oddsmakers have them losing by a touchdown versus Cleveland.

Bears futures odds
The Bears got their first win in Week 3, as they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 20-17. With their total wins for the regular season still sitting at 6.5, the over is still favorable. Andy Dalton was injured during the Week 2 game and the timetable for his return is still unclear. If Dalton can’t go, we should see Justin Fields under center against the Cleveland Browns. If so, there’s the potential for fireworks to fly for this offense. It will be something to keep an eye on, but if the tides change with Fields, I feel confident on the over of 6.5 regular-season wins.
Khalil Mack is still sitting at a total of 9.5 sacks for the season, and I still like the over. The Bears struggled as whole against the Rams and once things start to change with who is under center, I believe the atmosphere surrounding this team will change. In a winning environment, Mack will thrive. While the past two seasons haven’t seen him reaching his typical sack total, Mack can be the dominant force we saw in Oakland in 2015-2018.
Justin Fields NFL MVP odds
The odds of Justin Fields winning NFL MVP have been on a rollercoaster. He came in at +20000 before Week 1 but moved to +30000 afterward. Now after Week 2 and the Andy Dalton injury news, he has moved to +25000. Like I have previously mentioned, there is no need to hop on this bet due to his late starting under the center position but with this Chicago Bears coaching staff, there’s a good chance Dalton moves back under center when healthy again.
Bears to win the NFC odds
The Bears were sitting at +3500 by oddsmakers to win the NFC but have moved to +5000. There is no reason to lay any type of money on the Bears to win the NFC North or the NFC overall. The Bears came into this season with the third-most difficult strength of schedule and even with Justin Fields moving under center possibly this weekend, there is still little hope of them securing the NFC.
Chicago Bears betting trends
The Bears offered a very mixed bag of results last season as they finished 8-8 ATS and the game totals. They only put together two streaks of covering the spread and total last season — one in Weeks 5-6, and the other in Weeks 14-16. The Bears will once again be hard to trust until we see consistency from their offense while the defense will have to pick up the slack.
- 1-1 ATS (2021-2022)
- 8-8 ATS (2020-2021)
- 8-8 on totals (2020-2021)
