Chicago Bears Week 2 odds and betting picks

The Chicago Bears will be hosting the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 after a horrible Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. While no clear signs point to the Chicago Bears looking promising with Andy Dalton under center, the oddsmakers have them winning this matchup by less than a field goal at -2.5.

Super Bowl odds update – Chicago Bears

The latest Super Bowl odds for the Chicago Bears are +6600 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Here is a look at the odds movement:

  • Week 2: +8000
  • Week 1: +6600
  • Preseason: +4900

Bears futures odds

The Bears did not look good at all Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams. Andy Dalton threw for 206 yards with one interception as their only scores came by the ground by David Montgomery and rookie QB Justin Fields. Before the season started, their win total sat at 7.5 by oddsmakers, but that has now dropped to 6.5. I would hop on the over here, as we should see Fields under center sooner than later — Dalton struggled mightily in Week 1.

Khalil Mack is still sitting at a total of 9.5 sacks for the season, and I still like the over. The Bears struggled as whole against the Rams and once things start to change with who is under center, I believe the atmosphere surrounding this team will change. In a winning environment, Mack will thrive. While the past two seasons haven’t seen him reaching his typical sack total, Mack can be the dominant force we saw in Oakland in 2015-2018.

Justin Fields NFL MVP odds

We got to see some of Justin Fields in Week 1, but it was very little. He was able to complete both pass attempts for a total of 10 yards while running a score in from three yards out. Before Week 1, Fields sat at +20000 to be crowned the NFL MVP by seasons end. After some NFL exposure, Fields is now at +30000. This is still not odds to jump on for this season but something to monitor for the future seasons when Fields gets a full season under center.

Bears to win the NFC odds

The Bears were sitting at +3500 by oddsmaker to win the NFC but have now moved to +4000. There is no reason to lay any type of money on the Bears to win the NFC North or the NFC overall. The Bears came in to this season with the third-most difficult strength of schedule, and with Dalton under center, it’s only going to keep becoming more difficult.

Chicago Bears betting trends

The Chicago Bears were a very mixed bag of results last season as they finished 8-8 ATS and the game totals. They only put together two streaks of covering the spread and total last season — one in Weeks 5-6, and the other in Weeks 14-16. The Bears will once again be hard to trust until we see consistency from their offense while the defense will have to pick up the slack.

The Bears did manage to follow much of its division in Week 1, as Minnesota and Green Bay failed to cover the spread also. No team in the NFC North managed to secure a win, but three of the four games the division played hit the over.

  • 0-1 ATS (2021-2022)
  • 8-8 ATS (2020-2021)
  • 8-8 on Totals (2020-2021)
