Ty Johnson To Be Limited Wednesday

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that running back Ty Johnson (concussion) will be limited in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Johnson suffered a concussion in Sunday night's big divisional win over the Miami Dolphins to close out the regular season and will now have to work himself through the league's concussion protocol before being cleared to play this Sunday in the wild-card playoff contest against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. It's a good sign the 26-year-old is limited, but it doesn't mean he'll be active this weekend to serve as RB depth behind James Cook. If active, Johnson has very limited DFS appeal as a change-of-pace option alongside Latavius Murray. Johnson had only 30 carries all year for 132 rushing yards while adding seven catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in 10 games in 2023.

Elijah Moore Plays Six Snaps, Not Targeted In Season Finale

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore was active for the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals despite suffering a concussion in the Thursday night win over the New York Jets in Week 17. However, he was only on the field for six offensive snaps in the 31-14 loss to the Bengals and wasn't targeted at all by quarterback Jeff Driskel. The Browns were locked into the No. 5 seed for the playoffs in the AFC and chose to rest many of their key starters on both offense and defense, so it's really not a huge surprise that Moore wasn't on the field very much. The 23-year-old wasn't nearly as prolific as many expected him to be in his first year in Cleveland, although it was an improvement over his final season with the New York Jets. If Amari Cooper (heel) isn't ready for Saturday's wild-card playoff game against the Houston Texans, Moore could have a big role in Cleveland's passing attack.

Khalil Shakir Steps Up In Division-Clinching Win

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir led the team with 105 yards in Sunday night's division-clinching 21-14 road victory over the Miami Dolphins, reeling in each of his six targets. Shakir was tasked with an every-down role in the aftermath of Gabe Davis' (knee) injury in the first half, and he stepped up for the Bills in a big way. Shakir's highlight of the night arrived when he took a short pass for a 46-yard catch-and-run along the sideline in the first quarter. The 23-year-old former fifth-rounder has proven to be fairly productive when given the opportunity in 2023, and he could act as Buffalo's No. 2 wideout behind top target Stefon Diggs if Davis isn't able to overcome his knee issue by the time next Sunday's wild-card meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers rolls around.

Dalton Kincaid Heating Back Up, Turns In 84 Yards

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid notched his second consecutive 80-yard effort in Week 18's 21-14 victory over the Miami Dolphins as the team brought home the AFC East title, pulling in seven of his eight targets for 84 yards. Kincaid reprised his role as quarterback Josh Allen's safety net on Sunday, after the 2023 first-rounder recently appeared to be falling out of his signal-caller's favor. Kincaid did lose out on a short touchdown catch, watching Dawson Knox come down with the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter. Having now recorded 171 yards in his past two outings, however, Kincaid will roll into the postseason with quite a bit of momentum after Buffalo netted the No. 2 seed in the AFC with the victory. If Gabe Davis (knee) isn't ready to play by next Sunday's Wild Card tilt versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kincaid should be back in business as an attractive DFS option.

More Tough Sledding For James Cook Sunday

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook struggled to gain traction as the team clinched the AFC East championship in Week 18's 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins, rushing 13 times for 36 yards with three receptions for 16 yards. Cook is among the league leaders at the RB position in dropped passes, and his most notable play of the night was a lowlight. This latest miscue came in the end zone on a drop near the end of the second quarter, and the Bills would go on to come away from that drive empty-handed. The 24-year-old Georgia product has made great strides as an all-purpose back in his second season, but consistency has been a major issue. Cook has now collected just 166 scoreless scrimmage yards in his last three games after wreaking havoc with five straight 100-yard days. Buffalo hopes to get the best version of Cook when the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town for a Wild Card contest next Sunday.
