The New Orleans Saints will reportedly place the franchise tag on S Marcus Williams in something of a surprise move, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Williams, the Saints’ second-round pick from their loaded 2017 NFL Draft class, has played at least 14 games in all four of his seasons in New Orleans. He’ll turn 25 early in the 021 season and has 13 career interceptions, 2 forced fumbles and a touchdown.
