Zay Flowers Likely Sustains Knee Sprain In Week 18

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) likely suffered a knee sprain in Saturday's win over the Cleveland Browns. The 24-year-old wasn't involved long on Saturday night, catching only one pass before his abrupt departure. He'll undergo an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. However, it's believed Flowers didn't suffer a "major injury." The 2023 No. 22 overall pick had a productive regular season, totaling 74 catches for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns, so the team could use him on the field for the Wild-Card round. But if Flowers doesn't suit up, Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews, combining for nine catches for 130 yards and two scores in Week 18, should remain Lamar Jackson's preferred targets. Of course, Derrick Henry will stay involved, potentially seeing a small uptick in carries.

Zay Flowers Won't Return In Week 18

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) was forced to exit early during the second quarter of Saturday's Week 18 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Flowers was tagged as questionable to return, but has now been ruled out for the rest of the game. The Ravens decided to play their starters this weekend as they attempt to clinch the division title. Now, that could end up being a mistake as they could possibly lose their top wideout as they head into the postseason. Possibly, the Ravens are holding out Flowers for the rest of the game as a precaution. He finished the day with one reception on two targets for 12 yards before exiting. Rashod Bateman and Tylan Wallace will likely see bigger roles now.

DeAndre Hopkins With Incentives In Week 18

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will face the Denver Broncos on the road in Week 18. In the past three weeks, Hopkins has taken a backseat as Xavier Worthy has emerged as the team's WR1. The Chiefs have already clinched the top seed in the AFC, so they have nothing to play for in the regular season. Given their status atop the league, Hopkins and other starters could be rested to save them for the playoffs. That said, Hopkins does have some contract incentives to play for if he does suit up. The 32-year-old could earn $500,000 if he finds the endzone this week against the Broncos, who rank 16th in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers this season. Hopkins will have to rely on Carson Wentz to feed him the ball since Patrick Mahomes is doubtful for this week's contest. The veteran receiver is ranked WR77 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a desperation flex option this week.

Cooper Rush Expected To Start In Week 18

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush is expected to start, but backup quarterback Trey Lance is expected to see "significant snaps" in the Week 18 matchup against the Washington Commanders. With the likely split at the quarterback position, neither player is worth starting in any format for fantasy purposes in the season's finale. Rush is an unrestricted free agent following this season, so there is a chance that this is his final game in a Cowboys' uniform.

Justin Tucker A Solid Option Against Browns

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker registered his second finish in K1 territory in a row. He knocked through his lone field goal attempt of 52 yards and made all four of his extra points. Now, he returns home to face the Cleveland Browns in a game that could decide the winner of the AFC North and the third seed for the AFC. With the Browns fielding a mix-and-match roster due to rest and injuries, the Ravens' offense should be able to move the ball into Tucker's range. He remains a solid fantasy start in the season finale.
