Justice Hill Back At Practice On Tuesday

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (concussion/illness) returned to practice on Tuesday after missing last week's game against the Cleveland Browns with a concussion and illness. Hill suffered a concussion in the Week 16 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the 27-year-old has played second-fiddle to Derrick Henry this season, he has been important in the passing game with 42 receptions for 228 yards and a touchdown in 2024. With Zay Flowers (knee) banged up and at risk of missing the Wild Card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Hill could be asked to do more as a pass-catcher on Saturday. The statuses of both players are worth monitoring.

Zay Flowers Not At Tuesday's Practice

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) did not practice on Tuesday after suffering a knee injury in the Week 18 win over the Cleveland Browns. The second-year player appeared in all 17 games during the regular season, catching 74 passes for 1,059 yards and five touchdowns. He was named to his first career Pro Bowl last week. Needless to say, the timing of his injury is far from ideal, and his status should be monitored ahead of Saturday's Wild Card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If he cannot play, tight end Mark Andrews and wide receiver Rashod Bateman should see additional targets from Lamar Jackson. Flowers' injury status could loom large in whether Baltimore can get to the Super Bowl for the first time since Jackson took over at quarterback.

Zay Flowers Considered Day-To-Day

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said on Monday that wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) is day-to-day after he injured his knee in the win over the division-rival Cleveland Browns on Saturday in the Week 18 regular-season finale. "It's not a season-ending injury. It will be day-to-day," Harbaugh said. Flowers underwent an MRI exam on Sunday for an injury that was initially deemed a right-knee sprain, which makes him questionable to play in the wild-card round of the playoffs this weekend on Saturday against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. We'll have a better idea of the 24-year-old's status for this weekend once the team resumes practicing on Tuesday. If Flowers is out, Rashod Bateman would become Baltimore's top wideout, with tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely also seeing more targets. At receiver, Nelson Agholor and Tylan Wallace would also be thrust into bigger roles.

Trey Lance To Start Over Cooper Rush In Week 18

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Trey Lance will start against the Washington Commanders in Week 18, according to insider Patrik Walker. Cooper Rush, who tallied 1,844 yards, 12 touchdowns, and five interceptions while filling in for Dak Prescott (hamstring), heads to the bench for Sunday's season finale. This move is not a reflection of Rush's performance but rather gives the Cowboys an opportunity to get extra game film on Lance as they continue to evaluate the quarterback position going forward. Both Rush and Lance are free agents in March, and it's likely that Dallas will only keep one (or zero) of them as Prescott's backup in 2025. In the short-term, Lance, a former No. 3 overall pick, gets a chance to showcase his talents against a Commanders team that intends to play all of its starters. The ex-49er has just 22 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception through limited action in 2024. He ranks as a mid-to-high QB3 in Week 18 with some extra upside thanks to his rushing ability.

Isaiah Likely Sees Five Targets Against Browns

Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely moved into a bigger role partway through the game against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday after Zay Flowers (knee) left the game. The 24-year-old finished with three catches for 38 yards on five targets but wasn't able to find the end zone. In his third season, Likely set career highs in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. He has shown flashes of starting tight end abilities as he finished in the top 20 for fantasy points per game at the position, but remains behind Mark Andrews. He'll likely see some more opportunities during their first playoff game though with Flowers probably sidelined.
