First TD Bets — Wild Card Monday Slate

The Week 14 NFL DFS main slate could be a bit of a challenge, as we have six teams on a bye week this late in the season. There are plenty of solid games to target, and this week features a ton of affordable options. Receiver especially is chock-full of inexpensive players that can make it fun to build for Week 14.
Let’s take a look at the slate highlights for the week.
Quarterbacks

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles ($9,200)
Even though there are a lot of affordable receivers, I’m not sure if I love any quarterback enough to spend up this week. I will be spending on Saquon Barkley in a lot of lineups, but I sincerely doubt that’s going to be a hot take. If Barkley is chalk, playing Jalen Hurts and the passing game could be interesting. We’ve seen Hurts poach Barkley with the Tush Push and score rushing touchdowns plenty of times this season. Carolina is an awful run defense, but they are also 29th in both DVOA against the pass and DVOA-adjusted points against the position. The Panthers are also allowing the fifth-highest completion rate on the year while Hurts is second in points per dropback, seventh in completion rate, and 11th in adjusted completion rate.
