Jakob Poeltl Questionable Tuesday

Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (hip) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics. On Sunday, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic noted that Poeltl is getting close to returning. However, he may remain out for an eighth consecutive game on Tuesday as Poeltl nurses a hip problem. Orlando Robinson has started at center in the past two games. He has averaged 9.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in these contests. Without Poeltl, there is also more playing time available for Jonathan Mogbo and Chris Boucher. The latter was one of the stars of the show in Sunday's win over the Phoenix Suns, recording 23 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Jakob Poeltl Ruled Out For Friday Versus Heat

According to Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca, Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl(hip) won't suit up against the Miami Heat on Friday. Poeltl will miss his sixth consecutive contest due to a right hip contusion. Fantasy managers have certainly felt the loss of Poeltl, who has been a reliable double-double machine this season, averaging 14.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Jonathan Mogbowill likely continue to get extra playing time as the 29-year-old big man recovers.

Brandon Ingram Expected To Miss At Least One More Month

Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram (ankle) will not make his debut for the team anytime soon. Sportsnet's Michael Grange has reported that Ingram isn't projected to be back for at least a month. The former All-Star has suited up for only 18 games in 2024-25 due to a high-grade left low ankle sprain suffered on Dec. 7, making this essentially a lost season for Ingram, even when he eventually comes back. After acquiring him from the New Orleans Pelicans, the Raptors inked a three-year, $120 million contract extension with Ingram, a significant show of confidence for a player with a lengthy injury history. It remains to be seen if the investment pays off and how well Ingram meshes with current team leaders Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett.

RJ Barrett Available Versus Cavaliers

Toronto Raptors guard/forward RJ Barrett (concussion) will return to the court on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is back in the lineup after missing five games due to a concussion. Barrett has delivered consistent fantasy value throughout the campaign but may need some time to get back to his best after missing nearly two weeks of action. His return will likely push Ochai Agbaji to the bench, which takes away most of his fantasy appeal.
