Brooklyn Nets forward Trendon Watford (hamstring) is reportedly trending in the right direction and could return to the court this week. The 24-year-old has been sidelined since mid-December due to a left hamstring strain. The Nets are considering Watford as day-to-day, which means he could return to the court on Wednesday or Saturday. He has missed over 20 games in a row, so fantasy managers should expect Watford to have a significant minutes limit when he does return. Once back to full speed, Watford could offer some low-end streaming value, but for now he's just worth monitoring.

Until Watford returns, expect Ziaire Williams and Day'Ron Sharpe to get more time at forward for the Nets.

Noah Clowney and Day'Ron Sharpe should get additional action on the Nets frontcourt if Watford has to sit on the sidelines for a bit.

Watford only recently made his season debut and will suit up for a fourth consecutive game. The 24-year-old has so far averaged 6.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 16.0 minutes. Dorian Finney-Smith's (ankle) absence on Sunday might led to Watford having a larger role, but he's not somebody fantasy managers should rush to grab.

This will be Watford's season debut as he's been ruled out of action since early October. It should be expected that Watford will come off the bench in his return as he did almost all of last season for Brooklyn when he averaged 6.9 PPG in 13.6 minutes. Fantasy managers should temper their expectations and DFS managers can likely find better options if looking for a plug-and-play on Friday night. Jalen Wilson has been receiving the most minutes off Brooklyn's bench and his averaging 8.2 PPG and likely will be a better fantasy option on Friday, though Watford will likely eat into his minutes as the season progresses.
