Aaron Nesmith DVOA, Advanced Stats, & Fantasy Rankings

Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Starreports that Indiana Pacers forwardAaron Nesmith(ankle) is unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 25-year-old will be out of action for the first game since January 14th due to an injured left ankle. Besides Nesmith, Tyrese Haliburton(back) andMyles Turner(hip) are also out. This means that available minutes will open up for Jarace WalkerandBennedict Mathurin. Both players may get the nod to start, but they are average fantasy options.

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith (ankle) is questionable for Monday's meeting with the Timberwolves. The 25-year-old hasn't been a consistent fantasy producer this season. Still, he can play well at times, as evident by his 30-point effort on Saturday against Milwaukee. But if Nesmith misses his first game since January 14, Jarace Walker and Bennedict Mathurin may enter the starting lineup. Walker and Mathurin are shaky fantasy options. But their upside will increase if Tyrese Haliburton (back) and Myles Turner (hip) aren't available. Pascal Siakam (personal) has already been ruled out.

The fact that Nesmith is considered probable means he should be able to play through the minor hip issue. He has been playing starter minutes lately which has resulted in increased fantasy value. Nesmith has scored 20 points or more in two of his last three games. Tyrese Haliburton (hip) is questionable for Saturday, so Nesmith might be asked to take on a bigger scoring role on Saturday.
