A great matchup with a dismal Hornets team is in store for Kyle Lowry, Oubre's replacement in Philly's first unit, as Charlotte owns the fourth-worst defensive efficiency rating (117.1) and are allowing the fourth-worst opponent field-goal percentage (49.6%) in basketball. Lowry is worth streaming in season-long fantasy leagues in a pinch, and the veteran floor general is a decent budget option in DFS on Friday.

Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Brandon Miller (back) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against Philadelphia. Seth Curry will start in his place. Miller has been downgraded from a questionable status after he wasn't even on the original injury report, which is a strange turn of events. However, Curry won't complain, as he gets a chance to make his fourth start of the campaign. The veteran sniper gets a slight boost in fantasy value with the promotion to the starting unit, but it takes a brave manager to trust Curry. It's also a bad matchup for a three-point specialist like him, as the 76ers are allowing the sixth-fewest three-point makes in the league this season.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Caris LeVert (elbow) is out for Friday's meeting with the Detroit Pistons. A sprained right elbow made LeVert a late addition to the injury report, and the veteran swingman won't be available for the Cavs on Friday. The 29-year-old point forward tends to run hot and cold, and he appeared to be starting up a hot streak lately, supplying 14.3 points on 50.0% shooting from the field, 9.7 assists, 7.7 boards, and 1.7 treys per game across his past three showings. The 9-49 Pistons are yielding the sixth-most FanDuel points to opposing shooting guards in 2023-24, so with Donovan Mitchell's (knee) void vacating the two-guard spot in Cleveland's starting five, Isaac Okoro is in play as a salary-relief DFS option with plenty of backcourt minutes freed up. Over his last six games, Okoro is totaling 12.2 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.2 threes on 46.4% shooting from downtown in 25.6 minutes per contest.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (knee) is out for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Mitchell won't be able to battle through soreness in his left knee, missing a great matchup on Friday. Detroit holds the second-worst defensive efficiency rating (117.3), allows the fourth-most points per game (121.3), and surrenders more FanDuel points to opposing point guards than any other team in the league this season. The 27-year-old five-time All-Star has returned first-round fantasy value on the campaign as a whole, and over his latest 20 appearances, he's putting up 29.0 points, 6.8 dimes, 5.6 rebounds, 3.8 triples, and 1.8 steals per contest. Mitchell hopes to return on Sunday versus the New York Knicks. While this game features a weak 219.5-point implied total, Darius Garland deserves heavy DFS rostership with the controls to the Cavs offense all to himself, as Caris LeVert (elbow) is also sidelined.
