Michael Porter Jr. Practices On Wednesday

Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. (shoulder) participated in a light practice on Wednesday and looks to be on track to play in Thursday's Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers. Porter Jr. injured his left shoulder in Game 2. Following practice, Nuggets interim head coach David Adelman told reporters that he is "very optimistic" that Porter Jr. will be available for Thursday's contest. The Nuggets saw Porter Jr. contribute only three points in Saturday's series opener, but he did much better on Monday night, finishing with a 15-point, 15-rebound double-double. Denver will likely turn to Peyton Watson if Porter Jr. does not feel ready to play on Thursday.

Jayson Tatum Out On Wednesday

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (wrist) has been officially ruled out for Wednesday's Game 2 against the Orlando Magic. This is not surprising, given that the team initially listed Tatum as doubtful on the injury report. Games 3 and 4 are also scheduled for this week, so Tatum could miss several contests if he doesn't recover quickly from his wrist injury. Al Horford is set to take on a larger role in the rotation in his absence, while the team will need to get more offense from Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, and Derrick White.

Isaiah Stewart May Miss Another Game Thursday

Detroit Pistons forward/center Isaiah Stewart (knee) has been listed as questionable for Game 3 against the New York Knicks on Thursday night. He exited the lineup for Game 2 due to inflammation in his right knee and may have to sit out another game. Paul Reed played well as Stewart's replacement in the rotation on Monday, but didn't see a lot of action. He finished with six points, one rebound, one steal, and one block in 11 minutes. Starting center Jalen Duren, who posted 12 points and 13 rebounds with three blocks, logged a big shift with 37 minutes and will be relied upon heavily again on Thursday night if Stewart can't play.

Brandin Podziemski Picks Up Questionable Tag

Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski (illness) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's Game 2 against the Houston Rockets. He is a late addition to the injury report due to an illness. Podziemski has played well in recent weeks and was also a major factor in Golden State's Game 1 victory, notching 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Buddy Hield and Gary Payton II will be expected to contribute more if Podziemski is unable to play on Wednesday.

Davion Mitchell Moves Into Starting Lineup Wednesday

Miami Heat guard Davion Mitchell will start Wednesday's Game 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. After taking a heavy 121-100 beating in Game 1, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has decided to replace Alec Burks in the first unit with Mitchell. Mitchell's performance was one of only a few bright spots for Miami in Game 1, as he tallied 18 points, four rebounds, nine assists, and one steal. During the regular season, Mitchell made 37 starts, averaging 8.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in 29.6 minutes.
