Houston Rockets guard Fred VanVleet (groin) has been ruled out ahead of Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. It's being reported that Vanvleet could be sidelined for roughly a week due to this issue. Possibly, the Rockets hold out Vanvleet until the All-Star Break, but they will likely take it as day-to-day. Amen Thompson started in place of Vanvleet when he missed a last game last month. Thompson would be worth a look as a streaming option if he gets another chance in the starting unit.

Dallas Mavericks guard Dante Exum (knee) will not play in Tuesday's contest against the Brooklyn Nets. After returning from a nine-game absence on Jan. 24, Exum is back on the shelf for a sixth game in a row due to bursitis in his right knee. The 28-year-old Australian combo guard has started 14 games for the Mavs in his first season back in the NBA following two years overseas, averaging 9.2 points on a career-high 57.1% shooting from the field, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 three-pointers, and he trails only Grayson Allen in three-point percentage (47.7%). Exum's absence means more playing time for fellow Aussie guard Josh Green, who is settling into Dallas' starting group by averaging 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.7 threes on 50.0% shooting from deep covering his prior six games.

Brooklyn Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) remains out for Tuesday's game versus the Dallas Mavericks. Head coach Jacque Vaughn said on Monday that Finney-Smith is day-to-day, so the forward will look to return from a five-game absence with a sprained left ankle when the Nets host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday for the third outing of their current five-game homestand. DFS hasn't been the most useful from a fantasy standpoint, but his absence vacates 28.8 minutes per night. Cameron Johnson (adductor) is also sidelined on Tuesday, leaving Royce O'Neale as Brooklyn's primary three-and-D presence off the bench. Ben Simmons could also pick up some extra run, depending on his minutes limitations.

Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (hamstring) will not play in Tuesday's meeting with the Dallas Mavericks. After playing only five minutes for Brooklyn in Monday's loss to the Golden State Warriors, Walker isn't ready to go on the second night of a back-to-back due to tightness in his left hamstring. The 25-year-old swingman has quietly been one of the Association's most productive reserves this year, serving as a spark plug off Brooklyn's bench with averages of 12.0 points and 2.2 treys while shooting a career-high 47.6% from the floor and 43.6% from downtown. Ben Simmons is a candidate for an expanded role with Cameron Johnson (adductor) also out, making Dennis Smith Jr. a deep-league fantasy streamer for dimes and swipes.

The Miami Heat say forward Duncan Robinson (concussion) is available for Tuesday's matchup with the Orlando Magic. Robinson exited Jan. 29's loss to the Phoenix Suns following four minutes of action after suffering a concussion, missing Miami's last three games, but he's passed concussion protocol. With the Heat healthier now than they were during the first half of the campaign, the 29-year-old sharpshooter isn't as valuable in fantasy hoops as he was before. Averaging 8.1 points and 1.6 three-pointers on 32.5% shooting from long distance in 19.0 minutes through his latest eight games, Robinson is a low-end points and threes specialist in a stiff draw against a Magic squad that ranks third in defensive efficiency (109.0).
