Kobe Bufkin Questionable For Monday's Game

Atlanta Hawks guard Kobe Bufkin (toe) has been listed as questionable for Monday's matchup against Chicago. He's been out for 14 games with a sprained toe, but there appears to be a chance Bufkin will jump back into action on Monday. He would play the backup point guard role behind Dejounte Murray, pushing Trent Forrest to the end of the bench. Before getting hurt, Bufkin averaged 7.3 points and 3.7 assists across three games in a larger role without Trae Young (finger).

Onyeka Okongwu Sits Out Sixth Consecutive Game Monday

Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (toe) will be out of the lineup for a sixth consecutive game on Monday versus the Bulls. The talented big man has been limited to just two appearances since Feb. 12 due to a toe injury. Bruno Fernando will continue to roll as Clint Capela's backup. Centers typically get an even workload in Atlanta, and the pair will have a decent matchup on Monday. Chicago's defensive numbers are mediocre across the board, including against opposing bigs. Centers average 22.1 points and 14.6 rebounds per 48 minutes against them, shooting 56.7 percent from the floor.

Toumani Camara Out For Rest Of Season

Portland Trail Blazers forward Toumani Camara (ribs, kidney) will miss the rest of the 2023-24 NBA season. He will be out for a second straight game on Monday versus Orlando, and the team isn't expecting him back due to a fractured left rib and a small laceration in the kidney suffered against Atlanta last Wednesday. Camara was enjoying a strong stretch as a starter before the injuries. The 52nd pick of last year's draft ends his rookie campaign with averages of 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds across 24.8 minutes. Jabari Walker should see extra action for the rest of the way with Camara out of the picture, especially if Jerami Grant (hamstring) continues to miss time.

Anfernee Simons Remains Sidelined Monday

Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons (knee) will sit out a fifth consecutive contest on Monday versus Orlando. He's battling left knee tendinitis and will get the next opportunity to return on Wednesday against Charlotte. Simons' injury has opened up playing time and usage to Rayan Rupert and Dalano Banton. The latter has had a couple of special outings lately and did well throughout last month. Across 17 March outings, Banton averaged 17.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists with 2.3 made triples. On Monday, Rupert and Banton will be in a tricky spot to perform, as only Minnesota allows fewer made shots per game than Orlando.

Jerami Grant Unlikely To Play Against Orlando

Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (hamstring) is doubtful for Monday's matchup with Orlando. He's been sidelined for a few weeks because of a nagging hamstring strain, an injury that's bothered him throughout the year. But the Trail Blazers aren't going to the postseason, so Grant may not be back for the rest of the 2023-24 campaign. With Anfernee Simons (knee), Malcolm Brogdon (elbow), and Shaedon Sharpe (abdomen) still sidelined, Deandre Ayton, Dalano Banton, Scoot Henderson, and Kris Murray all warrant DFS consideration, especially if Grant is officially ruled out.
