Jalen Brunson Shines After One-Game Absence

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) was available for Saturday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers. After the All-Star tweaked his ankle in Tuesday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies, he didn't suit up on Thursday versus the Dallas Mavericks. But he was back in the lineup for the meeting with Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers. While New York couldn't pull off a win, Brunson picked up right where he left off before going down with the ailment, finishing with a game-high 39 points. He struggled from deep, going 1-for-5, although he made all 10 tries from the charity stripe. The 27-year-old continues to get it done for fantasy managers, and he's now averaging 34.3 points in February. Barring any issues with the ankle, Brunson should be in the lineup for Monday's clash with the Houston Rockets.

Jalen Brunson Questionable For Saturday

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's matchup against Indiana. The first-year All-Star continues to deal with a right ankle sprain that kept him off the court Thursday versus Dallas. Miles McBride had the keys to the offense without Brunson. He put in a massive 45-minute shift and provided good two-way value with 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Racking up stats against a pacy Indiana side shouldn't be a problem for him either on Saturday.

OG Anunoby Has Elbow Surgery

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (elbow) underwent surgery on Thursday. The former Raptor, who was traded to New York in December, has averaged 15.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in 14 appearances with the Knicks. However, he's missed the last five games because of an elbow issue. After further tests, it was revealed that Anunoby had a loose bone fragment in his right elbow, requiring him to go under the knife. He's expected to resume basketball activities in three weeks. But with the All-Star break on the horizon, the blow to fantasy managers might not be as impactful. That said, Donte DiVincenzo and the newly acquired Bojan Bogdanovic could see more work until Anunoby is healthy.

Cameron Payne Heading To 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers made multiple moves on Thursday in an attempt to improve their roster for a deep postseason run. On Thursday, the Sixers acquired guard Cameron Payne from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Patrick Beverley. The expectation is that Payne is going to be the primary backup guard behind Tyrese Maxey. Payne has played well as a reserve option over the last few seasons. However, his fantasy value is going to remain limited due to the fact he'll usually be playing off the bench. There could be some streaming appeal on nights where the Sixers are shorthanded, but Payne probably won't have every-game value.

OG Anunoby Still Out Thursday

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (elbow) remains out for Thursday's tilt versus the Dallas Mavericks. The Knicks have updated Anunoby's injury from inflammation to a bone spur irritation in his right elbow, which can't help but sound a bit more complicated than the original listing. With the All-Star break on the horizon, New York could opt to hold Anunoby out until play resumes to get this issue fully resolved, but the forward nonetheless has a chance to end a six-game absence on Saturday against the visiting Indiana Pacers in the final game of a six-game homestand. Head coach Tom Thibodeau has tightened his rotations to eight players with Quentin Grimes (knee) out of the mix, leaving behind ample playing time for Precious Achiuwa. Averaging 13.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks in 39.8 minutes across his past five games, Achiuwa remains a strong fantasy streamer on Thursday.
