NBA Best Bets of the Day (10/30)

This is a football Sunday, but we have a decent amount of NBA action today as well. We have a game at 3 PM ET and a slate of seven more that starts between 6 and 9:30 this evening.

If you want to see all the betting action on tonight’s games in the association, get over to FTNBets and see what our models and analysts are looking at. Here are my favorite plays for Sunday’s NBA action in each of the major betting markets I play.

Best NBA spread bet

Los Angeles Clippers -2.5

(-110 DraftKings)

The Clippers are home today with everyone but Kawhi Leonard likely active to take on a Pelicans team that has some major injury issues. Brandon Ingram is out, and Zion Williamson is questionable after missing the last game as well. Even if Zion plays, I like the Clippers here. Without him I would have expected this number to be more like -4.5 or -5, so at worst we have some value, and at best we are getting a lot on this number.

Best NBA points prop bet

Nikola Jokic OVER 25.5 points

(-111 FanDuel)

Nikola Jokic had 31 points in the first matchup, and that was with Anthony Davis active. Davis is questionable today after missing the last game against the Timberwolves. Rudy Gobert went nuts for a 20/20 double-double in that one, so this would be an even softer spot if Davis sits again.

Best NBA rebound prop bet

Jayson Tatum OVER 7.5 rebounds

(+110 BetRivers)

Jayson Tatum has gone over this number in three of five games this year. He finished 0.5 rebounds shy in a fourth game this season and is averaging 8 rebounds on the year. Kristaps Porzingis likes to hang out by the three-point line on offense, leaving Kyle Kuzma to out-rebound him in most recent games. That’s going to be the Tatum matchup, and Tatum should do a better job cleaning the glass than many of the other players matched up against Kuzma so far. I don’t even hate Tatum for a double-double today, which you can find at +285 on DraftKings.

Best NBA assist prop bet

Chris Paul OVER 10.5 assists

(+108 Unibet)

I know this is a big number for Chris Paul to get, but the odds are nice here considering he’s even money to get a double-double on some books today. The Rockets are ranked in the bottom 4th of the league for points allowed per 10 possessions, so this is a very soft spot for the Suns. I’m expecting a good game out of Deandre Ayton on the pick-and-roll with CP3 in the middle of the floor. He should dominate in the paint today, and that is usually how Paul’s assist totals climb. He projects for almost 12 assists in our model today.
