According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Warriors are trading forward Andrew Wiggins to the Heat in a multi-team deal that will also send Jimmy Butler to Golden State. The 2014 No. 1 overall pick had a rough season in 2023-24. However, he's turned things around this season, averaging 17.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. It's unknown how head coach Erik Spoelstra will use Wiggins. But even if he doesn't start, he will likely take minutes away from Jaime Jaquez Jr., Haywood Highsmith, and Nikola Jovic. With that in mind, Wiggins might see a dip in production, especially with Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro in the equation.

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler has been traded to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. It seemed that Butler had burned his bridge to Golden State a few days ago, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Butler will head over to the Warriors in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson, and a first-round pick. The Warriors are attempting to go all-in here by adding a superstar in the hopes of possibly getting one more ring before maybe heading into a rebuild. Butler has talked his way off multiple teams, but he is a legitimate difference maker when he's on the court. He hasn't played since late January due to a suspension, but Butler is a top-50 contributor when he's available. Butler also signed a two-year, $121 million extension with the Warriors as part of the trade. It appears Butler is going to be sticking around in Golden State for a few more seasons.

Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins (hip) is expected to suit up for Wednesday's game against the Utah Jazz. Wiggins is bothered by soreness in his left him, but it looks like he will be ready to make a 12th consecutive appearance. This marks the beginning of a stretch of three games in four nights for Golden State, so it's possible that Wiggins will need to take some time off later in the week. The Canadian star has recently played some of his best basketball of the season, averaging 21.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists over the past seven games.

Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier has not been charged with a crime nor has he been accused of wrongdoing at this point, but federal investigators are investigating his play in a game from the 2023 season when he played for the Charlotte Hornets. The NBA confirmed on Thursday that this is part of the same probe that led to the lifetime ban of Jontay Porter, but the NBA also said that it investigated the matter and did not find any league rules that were broken. The game in question took place on March 23, 2023, against the Pelicans. Rozier left after just 9:36 due to a foot issue and did not play in the remaining eight games of the Hornets' season. Since Charlotte was out of playoff contention, Rozier's absence wasn't especially surprising, but the action on his player props from that game has drawn federal attention. At this point, no action has been taken regarding Rozier, but this could be a huge story if it ultimately leads to a suspension or change in limitations and regulations around player props. Stay tuned for more details as the story unfolds.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Miami Heat are suspending forwardJimmy Butler indefinitely. Butler was supposed to play on Monday against Orlando after missing two consecutive contests, but he left the morning shootaround after hearing that he wouldn't be in the starting lineup. With the 35-year-old out once again, Haywood Highsmith will likely be moved into the starting five. Highsmith went scoreless in 21 minutes during his last outing on Saturday against the Nets.
