It’s the NBA Playoffs, and we have you covered for all of your NBA DFS content. This article will cover my NBA GPP plays for the day. I rely heavily on matchups, pace of play and minutes on the floor.
It is extremely important to keep up with the NBA news up until lock. If you are new to NBA DFS, news can come out right before each individual game starts. Be sure to check in the FTN discord throughout the night or keep up with the news yourself on Twitter.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks Showdown Picks
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out. Trae Young is a GTD.
Again, expect major minutes for all of the Bucks starters. They played as many minutes as they could handle with no Giannis and just gave a handful to Pat Connaughton and Bryn Forbes off the bench.
I will most likely be way underweight on Trae Young if he plays. He would not be 100% with his ankle bone bruise (those don’t heal overnight), and he is the most expensive player making it highly unlikely that he hits value.
FanDuel
MVP: Khris Middleton or Jrue Holiday. These are my only options tonight. Even with Brook Lopez going nuts in Game 5, Middleton still made the optimal MVP on FD.
Star: Jrue Holiday
Pro: Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez. A lot of this depends on Trae Young’s availability. I actually think we have a pretty good chance of him at least being on the court tonight (whether he is more of a decoy or not).
I will probably lock Portis in all of my lineups in some capacity whether it is Star, Pro or Flex.
Flex Options: In order of preference: (Remove Middleton, Holiday and Young from your player pool. They won’t be hitting value if you put them in your Flex spot).
- Bobby Portis: Lock
- Brook Lopez: He played a monster 38 minutes last game and looked absolutely fantastic charging the rim, creating shots, blocking and tipping rebounds to teammates or in the basket. Expect another very motivated Lopez tonight. Love him.
- John Collins
- Clint Capela
- Kevin Huerter
- Bogdan Bogdanovic
- Lou Williams: He is much better if Trae Young is ruled out, but I wouldn’t remove him from the player pool if Trae plays (because I would assume he is limited). I would, however, not play Williams and Trae on the same team.
- P.J. Tucker
Punt: I only want one punt, if any, on FanDuel. It’s Game 6, we know where the minutes and usage are going.
- Pat Connaughton: He came off the bench last game and only got 21 minutes, which was the sixth most on the Bucks. He is fine as a punt, you just need the three to fall, and they haven’t been.
- Danilo Gallinari
- Cam Reddish
- Onyeka Okongwu
DraftKings
CPTs: Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez
Value: Cam Reddish, Lou Williams (much better with no Trae, close to lock play), Pat Connaughton, Bryn Forbes, Onyeka Okongwu
