The NBA season is here, and that means we have tons of new DFS stats, tools, and information to dive into. This article will present you with five actionable stats in order to help you with the night’s NBA slate of games.

We’ve got another massive slate Friday, as the NBA is in full swing, and there are stats galore piling up for us to use. It’s not easy to parse these slates down but just remember, everyone else can only play the same number of players you can.

1. Bennedict Mathurin Had 1.25 Points Per Minute

The rookies had a big opening night, and Bennedict Mathurin may have flown right under the radar. He played right about 28 minutes but metrics like these with Tyrese Haliburton are going to keep him on the floor.

2. Santi Aldama Played 39 Minutes

Even if you take away the five minutes for overtime, Santi Aldama played a ton of minutes with the Grizzlies shorthanded. He’s still affordable, had a double-double, and the environment is one of the best on the slate.

3. DeMar DeRozan Scored 64.5 DK Points

The Bulls are still without Zach LaVine, and DeMar DeRozan is under $9,000. Some things aren’t too complicated, and DeRozan will have the bulk of the offense on his shoulders.

4. Fred VanVleet Attempted Nine Shots

Despite the fact Fred VanVleet was under 10 attempts, he managed to have a fine game for fantasy at 34 points. Don’t expect those attempts often, and VanVleet has a strong shot at 45 DK Friday against the Nets’ perimeter defense.

5. Chris Paul Played 30 Minutes

We talked about it for a quick second in the game-by-game breakdown, but Chris Paul didn’t close against the Mavericks and only played 30 minutes. That made no real sense, and it makes me wonder if there was an injury of some type that we’ll learn about. If it was just limited minutes, they would have figured out how to let Paul close a competitive game. Paul had a miserable game overall with just six attempts, but he didn’t get benched for that. With some questions around him, it just makes Devin Booker look even better as a DFS option.
