Despite facing a lowly Athletics lineup, Houck dominated, giving up only three hits and did not walk a batter. Houck is lined up for another start this week against the Los Angeles Angels and its mediocre lineup. After Monday's outstanding performance, Houck is worth starting against the Angels this weekend and picking up if he is on waivers.

It was Houck's first year being used exclusively as a starter by the BoSox, so hopefully for fantasy managers in AL-only leagues, he'll be able to take a step forward in 2024. Houck will need to improve against left-handed hitters in order to accomplish that.
