Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the San Diego Padres. Outman had started five of the Dodgers last six games. The 26-year-old was a surprising source of offense last season, but he is batting a dismal .114 with one home run across his last 15 contests. Enrique Hernandez will start in left field and bat seventh in Outman's absence. Hernandez has also struggled at the plate this season and is 1-for-8 in his career against Padres starter Yu Darvish. He is not a recommended DFS play for Sunday's slate.
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Tuesday's victory against the Minnesota Twins. The home run would be the second in as many days for the outfielder that was struggling entering the week. Outman was hot and cold in 2023, but dominant when things were going right. Outman's performance raises his average to .175, but five of his seven hits on the season have come over the last six games. As an everyday player in one of the best lineups in the league, Outman should be rostered in most formats. He will look to make it three games in a row with a homer versus Chris Paddack and the Twins on Wednesday.
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman is absent from the team's starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Chicago Cubs. Outman has not started against a southpaw all season and that trend continues with Shota Imanaga on the mound. In Outman's absence, Enrique Hernandez will start in centerfield and bat sixth. Hernandez is batting .222 with three RBI across 18 at-bats in 2024. He is nothing more than a DFS dart-throw when he is in the starting lineup.
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman has been enjoying a nice Cactus League thus far. Entering his second season, the young outfielder is hitting .429 with two homers, four RBI and three stolen bases over his first 14 at-bats. Outman had an impressive rookie campaign with a .248 batting average to go along with 23 homers, 70 RBI and 16 stolen bases and will look to build off of that in 2024. Part of one of the best lineups in the league, Outman should have plenty of counting stats to go along offering power and speed. Despite having hot and cold results as a rookie, he is worth a look in all formats.
