Giancarlo Stanton Sitting Out On Saturday

New York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is getting a day off on Saturday against the Colorado Rockies at Yankee Stadium. Aaron Judge will move into the DH role and will bat third, while Trent Grisham will start in center field and bat ninth against Rockies right-hander Bradley Blalock. It appears to be just a normal day off for Stanton, who has gone deep in back-to-back games. The 34-year-old right-handed slugger now has 22 home runs on the year and 56 RBI in 324 at-bats. He has four home runs in the month of August in 15 games with 11 RBI, but he's also hitting just .218 (12-for-55) with six walks and 15 strikeouts. The five-time All-Star continues to give fantasy managers high-end power but not much else. Grisham represents a low-upside deep-sleeper option in DFS at the bottom of the order. He's hitting just .190 (30-for-158) on the year with a .674 OPS.

Giancarlo Stanton Goes Yard In Victory

New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton went 1-for-3 with a walk and three-run home run in Thursday's victory versus the Cleveland Guardians. Stanton's home run came against Nick Sandlin in the bottom of the fifth inning and was rocketed off the bat at 105 MPH. The home run gives the slugger three longballs over his last 34 at-bats, but he has just eight hits during that span. Stanton missed time earlier this season with a left hamstring strain, but has looked healthy since his return on July 29. The veteran is hitting .241 with 21 homers and 55 RBI for the season and as always, will provide power, but his low batting average and constant health concerns aren't for everyone. Stanton will look to go deep again on Friday when the Yankees open a three-game set at home versus the Colorado Rockies and Kyle Freeland.

Giancarlo Stanton Gets A Breather

New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox. The veteran slugger will get a routine rest day after going 1-for-8 over the last two games. The 34-year-old is unlikely to ever get back to his All-Star form, but he at least has 20 home runs with 52 RBI this season. Fantasy managers will gladly take that production from the oft-injured outfielder. Aaron Judge will slide over to the DH spot while Trent Grisham plays center field versus right-hander Davis Martin on Wednesday. Grisham is hitting below .200, so fantasy managers are better off looking for another streaming option for Wednesday's slate.
