He tallied just 25 strikeouts and generated a modest 4.71 xERA. However, in the minor leagues, he held an impressive 1.35 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP across 60 innings at Double-A. With Thorpe see to miss the entire season, this could open the door for top prospect Noah Schultz to make his MLB debut later this summer.
