Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler went 3-for-3 with a walk, a home run, three RBI, and a run scored in Friday's 7-5 win over the Royals. The 26-year-old has been a top 12 catcher for fantasy thus far, hitting .303 with five home runs, 22 RBI, and 16 runs scored, with a .347 wOBA and a 126 wRC+. The former second-round draft pick has hit safely in 10 of the last 11 games, going 16-for-40 (.400) over that stretch, including a pair of doubles, a home run, and six RBI. The 26-year-old will face Michael Wacha on Friday, whom he is 1-for-5 off of in his career with one walk, but the young backstop could be a viable DFS play (if he gets the start) with the Tigers as heavy favorites and with one of the higher implied run totals on the slate.

Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler will take a seat for Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader at Coors Field versus the hosting Colorado Rockies. Tomas Nido will do the catching for right-hander Casey Mize and will hit eighth against Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues should expect Dingler to return to the starting lineup for Game 2 of the twin bill. The 26-year-old backstop has swung the bat well for the upstart Tigers so far this year, slashing .292/.313/.479 with a .792 OPS, four home runs, 15 RBI and 10 runs scored in 96 at-bats. Although the 31-year-old Nido has hit .360 (9-for-25) for Detroit, he'll be a low-upside DFS play in the eight-hole, even at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Nido is still searching for his first homer of the year and is hitless in four career at-bats against Freeland.

Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler had a big game in his team's 10-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. Dingler went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer to help power the Tigers to the win. The second-year catcher broke a 4-4 tie with his three-run blast in the eighth inning, a shot that traveled 409 feet with an exit velocity of 101 MPH. Dingler is now hitting .291 with four homers, eight runs, and 15 RBI across 86 at-bats for the Tigers this season. He is setting up as a decent option as far as fantasy catchers go.
