Right-hander Albert Suarez, who was originally scheduled to start on Saturday, has been moved back and forth between the rotation and bullpen this year. The 24-year-old Povich is the No. 5 prospect for the O's, per MLB Pipeline, and has struggled to a 6.27 ERA and 1.69 WHIP with 25 strikeouts and 23 walks in his first eight big-league starts in 2024. In two starts for Norfolk since his last MLB stint, Povich has allowed six runs with 11 K's and two walks while completing seven innings in both outings. The youngster will be a risky fantasy streamer against Boston this weekend.

Povich, a former third-round pick by the Minnesota Twins in 2021 out of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, allowed six earned runs while walking four and striking out two in 5 1/3 innings in a loss in his big-league debut against the Blue Jays back on June 6.
