Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton was the team's primary source of offense during Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners. The 30-year-old hit a tie-breaking RBI double off starter Bryce Miller in the fourth inning. Later, Buxton blasted a three-run home run against reliever Trent Thornton to help the Twins pull away. He finished the day 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in the win. Buxton is hitting .389 with five home runs and two steals over his last 15 games. Fantasy managers should make sure to get him in their lineups right now.
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is out of the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Seattle Mariners. This appears to be nothing more than a routine rest day for Buxton. This is odd timing considering Buxton went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run on Thursday. This is likely part of the Twins plan to try and keep the oft-injured outfielder as healthy as possible. Manuel Margot will cover center field and bat eighth versus right-hander Logan Gilbert on Friday.
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton had another great game on Thursday, going 3-for-4 with a three-run homer in a 13-6 thumping of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Buxton added three runs scored to round out his impressive line. The 30-year-old now has three homers in the last four games and has hit safely in 13 of his last 16 games. His overall numbers don't look so bad either, with a .261 AVG to go along with 32 runs, seven homers, 30 RBI, and five steals in 207 at-bats. He should be in all category leagues at this point.
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton was the main source of offense for his team during Sunday's game against the Oakland Athletics. Buxton opened up the scoring with a solo shot off Hogan Harris to give the Twins the lead in the second inning. He'd knock in another RBI with a double in the seventh inning. He finished the day 2-for-3 with two RBI in the 3-0 victory. The veteran outfielder is now slashing .245/.294/.408 with five home runs and 25 RBI this season.
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is not in the team's starting lineup on Wednesday against the visiting Kansas City Royals. It appears to be a normal day of rest for Buxton as the Twins look to keep the oft-injured veteran outfielder healthy. Willi Castro is making the start in center field and will bat seventh for the Twins against Royals veteran right-hander Seth Lugo. Castro has one hit in two career at-bats against Lugo and has been a useful utility man for the Twins this year, hitting .247 (45-for-182) with four homers, 16 RBI, seven stolen bases and 26 runs scored so far. The Puerto Rican is mostly useful for his speed in deeper fantasy leagues. After getting on base four times and stealing a base on Tuesday, Buxton is now slashing .254/.308/.426 on the year with three homers, 15 RBI and two thefts in 122 at-bats.
