Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle put together a career game at the plate during Wednesday's contest against the Boston Red Sox. He went 2-for-5 at the plate with a grand slam off right-hander Chase Anderson to extend their lead to 19-3. Doyle batted in five runs with his team scoring 20 runs on 21 hits. The 26-year-old has been fantastic at the plate over the last month or so. He's hitting .310 with 12 home runs and 32 RBI over the last 30 games. Fantasy managers should continue riding with Doyle while he's hot at the plate.
Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run to power the Rockies to a victory on Friday evening. Doyle launched his 16th long ball of the campaign in the sixth inning, which also scored backstop Elias Diaz. Through 93 games this season, the 26-year-old has posted a strong .279/.345/.481 slash line with 44 RBI and 20 stolen bases. He holds an 11.2% barrel rate and a 42.2% hard-hit rate, which are both above the average marks among all qualified hitters. In addition, Doyle has been swinging a hot bat since the start of the month with a .429/.509/1.082 line and is worth considering in all DFS formats this weekend as he continues to face the Giants at Coors Field.
Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle will bat cleanup amid a power surge on Thursday versus the Reds. Doyle has 13 home runs on the year, but seven of them have come in his last 12 games alone, plus he's added five doubles during that time. The 26-year-old will face right-hander Hunter Greene in this matchup, who he is 2-for-2 off of in his career with a double and a home run.
Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle did his best to carry the offense on Tuesday on the road against the Cincinnati Reds, but it wasn't enough in a 12-6 loss. Doyle finished the game 3-for-4 with two solo home runs and a walk. His other hit was a double. The 26-year-old didn't look too great last month, but he has seriously turned things around so far in July, going 15-for-27 with six home runs, five doubles, 11 RBI, six walks, a stolen base and seven runs scored in eight games to raise his season slash line to .279/.346/.467 with an .812 OPS in his second year in the big leagues. He's added a career-high 13 home runs, 16 doubles and 20 stolen bases in 87 games, making him a must-roster player in all fantasy leagues despite playing for the last-place Rockies. If Doyle can stay healthy in the second half of the season, he has a real shot at 30 homers and 30 steals.
Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle went 1-for-2 with a home run and a pair of walks in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Royals. Doyle recorded two RBI and scored once. The home run was his fifth in the last eight games and he's now got a five-game hit streak going during which time the 26-year-old is 11-for-17 (.647) with four doubles, four home runs, nine RBI, five runs scored, and a stolen base. After striking out at a 35% rate last season and posting a 43 wRC+, it's safe to say the former fourth-round draft pick is having a breakout campaign, now with a .275-11-36-50-20 line with a. 341 wOBA and 106 wRC+ on the season.
