2024 Team Stats

Cleveland left-hander Kolby Allard has been great as a length option out of the team's bullpen this season, and manager Stephen Vogt said "he's definitely an option" to enter the starting rotation with right-hander Ben Lively (forearm) going on the injured list on Tuesday. Allard, who has a sharp 1.20 ERA in 15 innings over five appearances in 2025, could make his first start of the year as early as this Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds. The 27-year-old southpaw threw a season-high 64 pitches in six innings of relief on April 26 against the Boston Red Sox, so he's definitely built up enough to be worth streaming consideration in fantasy. He threw 53 pitches over four innings on May 3 against the Toronto Blue Jays as well. MLB.com's Tim Stebbins also mentions prospect Doug Nikhazy and rehabbing right-hander Slade Cecconi (oblique) as options, but Allard feels like the best bet, at least this weekend.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola was lit up in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader in what ended as a 14-7 loss to the Cardinals. He allowed nine runs on nine hits and one walk in 3 2/3 innings. This loss dropped his record to 1-7, continuing an extremely disappointing start to 2025 for the right-hander. This start rose his already poor 4.89 ERA up to 6.16. He'll look to turn things around in his next start, currently set to be against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Philadelphia Phillies pitching prospect Mick Abel allowed just one earned run in his latest start, yielding three hits and two walks whilestriking out nine over seven innings of work. The former first-round draft pick started the season well, pitching to a 3.80 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and an 18.5 percent K-BB% over his first four starts, but has taken it up a notch over his last four, posting a 1.44 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 15.0 percent K-BB% during that time. It is a vast improvement over lastseason's 6.46 ERA, 1.81 WHIP, and 7.6 percent K-BB% that the righty logged in 24 starts, all at Triple-A. The 6-foot-5 hurler looks to be on the doorstep to the majors, so if he continues to pitch well, look for a call-up later thisseason. He isn't a must-stash, but with his big frame and pitch-mix, he has the ability to be a solid big-league starter from the get-go, so fantasy managers shouldkeep a watchful eye out for news of a promotion.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler shut down the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday, tossing seven shutout innings in a 3-0 victory. Wheeler only allowed three hits and two walks while striking out eight. It was the 34-year-old's fifth straight quality start, as he has once again been a consistent ace on the bump. He has a 4-1 record to go with a 2.95 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and 74 strikeouts over 58 IP. Those numbers are some of the best in the game, and even in his mid-30's he is proving to be a stud in fantasy. His next start is scheduled for Saturday in a tasty matchup at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Philadelphia Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber provided all the offense for his team on Sunday, smacking two homers and driving in three runs in a 3-0 win over the Cleveland Guardians. Schwarber hit a solo shot in the second frame and then went deep again in the eighth, this time with a runner on. The 32-year-old slugger is now hitting .269 with a .998 OPS, 29 runs, 14 homers, 32 RBI, and four steals. With the significantly improved average and occasional steal, Schwarber has somehow become a premier five-category contributor this season. Regression in the batting average and steal departments is expected, but if he can even remain average in those two, then he could be one of the best players in fantasy. To help Schwarbs' case even further, it looks like he will gain outfield eligibility on many platforms soon.
