Boston Red Sox first baseman Bobby Dalbec has been optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday. The former top prospect has struggled during his time with the big league club. So far this season, Dalbec was limited to nine at-bats in which he struck out during six of those. Possibly, Dalbec returns to the MLB if he has a strong showing in the minors. Fantasy managers can continue ignoring Dalbec until further notice.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Washington Nationals. There is no injury being reported so it's assumed that his absence is a routine rest day. It's a bit odd with a right-hander on the mound, but the expectation is he'll be back in the lineup on Tuesday. In the meantime, LaMonte Wade is starting in left field with Mike Yastrzemski moving to right field on Monday.

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Reds infielder Jonathan India (leg) was scratched from Monday's lineup against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers due to a left-leg contusion that he suffered when he was hit by a ball during batting practice before the game. Manager David Bell initially said that India would serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff, but the team has decided against that now. Will Benson is now serving as the DH and batting eighth, while Bubba Thompson starts in center field and hits in the nine-hole against Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby. Outfielder Stuart Fairchild is in right field and hitting leadoff. Fairchild gains some DFS steam on Monday now that he's hitting atop the batting order. For now, fantasy baseball managers should consider India day-to-day and check back on Tuesday to see if he's back in the lineup.

Cincinnati Reds manager David Bell said that reliever Tejay Antone (elbow) will have another elbow surgery this Friday after he tore the tendon off the bone while also suffering a partial ligament tear. Antone has already had Tommy John surgery twice in 2017 and 2021. The Reds officially placed him on the 15-day injured list on Monday and recalled right-hander Carson Spiers from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. It's another tough blow for the 30-year-old right-hander and the Reds' bullpen. Because of setbacks from his last Tommy John surgery, Antone has only appeared in nine games for the Reds since 2021. He's not going to make it back in 2024 and probably won't be ready for the start of the 2025 season, either.

Cincinnati Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo (calf) will come off the injured list to make his season debut on Saturday against the Chicago White Sox, according to manager David Bell. Lodolo made only seven starts for the Reds in 2023 due to a stress fracture in his tibia and gave up four runs in just 2 2/3 innings while throwing 64 pitches in his final minor-league rehab start for Triple-A Louisville, so he'll be a pretty low-upside fantasy option on Saturday in his first start of the year, even against the lowly White Sox. The 26-year-old probably will be on a short leash this weekend after throwing 77 pitches in his first rehab start on the farm. Even if you don't use him against Chicago, Lodolo is worth snatching up off the waiver wire in mixed fantasy leagues for his strikeout upside if he can remain healthy this year.
