Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) is expected to begin a rehab assignment this month. Justin Toscano of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported that Acuna does not need to visit his doctor again and that a rehab assignment date is "up to the team." This is a significant step in his recovery process as the superstar could be set to return to game action in the coming weeks. Has been sidelined since last May after suffering a torn ACL. In 2023, Acuna enjoyed an incredible campaign as he hit 41 home runs, swiped 73 bags, and held a .337/.413/.596 slash line en route to winning the NL MVP. Before his injury last season, Acuna held a .250/.351/.365 line and added four home runs with 16 stolen bases. When he does return, he will carry high-end OF1 upside, given his ability to contribute to all five categories.

Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona said that outfielder Austin Hays (hamstring) is doing really well in his rehab from a strained left hamstring and could return from the injured list on Friday. As long as Hays doesn't suffer a setback in the next few days, he could skip a minor-league rehab assignment and rejoin the club for their series opener on Friday in Houston against the Astros. Injuries have been the story of the 29-year-old's season so far in 2025, but when he's been on the field, he's been fantasy worthy in all formats, slashing .365/.431/.712 with five long balls, 13 RBI, 15 runs scored and a stolen base in just 13 games played. When Hays is back, expect him to continue playing regularly for Cincy in left field. Until then, rookie Tyler Callihan and Blake Dunn should continue to split playing time for the Reds in left field.

Athletics second baseman Zack Gelof (ribs, wrist) was pulled from his minor-league rehab assignment du to a stress reaction in his ribs and has been shut down from swinging for the time being, according to MLB.com's Martin Gallegos. Gelof was forced to start the 2025 season on the injured list after having surgery on his right wrist, but he had started a rehab assignment in the minors last week. The 25-year-old went 1-for-7 with an RBI, two runs scored, a walk and two strikeouts in just three rehab games with Triple-A Las Vegas before suffering a new injury. Stress reactions can be quite serious, so there's no telling how long he'll be shut down from swinging a bat, or when he'll be able to return to his rehab assignment. Depending on how long Gelof is away from Vegas, he might not be able to make his season debut for the A's until June.

Seattle Mariners right-hander George Kirby (shoulder) made his first minor-league rehab start on Sunday for Triple-A Tacoma and allowed just one earned run on a solo homer while walking none and striking out four in three innings of work. It was the first time that Kirby had taken the mound since Feb. 26 in spring training due to a right-shoulder injury. The 27-year-old was able to throw 33 of his 42 pitches for strikes while topping out at 97.8 mph. Barring a setback with his shoulder injury, the Mariners are expecting Kirby to need only two or three rehab starts before he comes off the 15-day injured list for his 2025 season debut. The former 20th overall pick in 2019 out of Elon University was a first-time All-Star in 2023 and hasn't posted an ERA over 3.53 in any of his three MLB seasons. Kirby has impeccable control but a below-average 23.3% strikeout rate. Still, he needs to be rostered in all fantasy leagues.

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is absent from the starting lineup for Monday's series opener in Sacramento against the division-rival Athletics. Miles Mastrobuoni is starting in left field and will hit sixth, while Rhylan Thomas is manning right field and batting out of the nine-hole against A's right-hander Luis Severino. A hamstring forced Arozarena from Sunday's game early against the Texas Rangers, so fantasy managers shouldn't be all that surprised that he's out on Monday. The good news is that the 30-year-old veteran is expected to be back for the second game of the series on Tuesday. Arozarena is hitting just .224 (26-for-116) on the year with five homers, 18 RBI, eight steals and 16 runs scored, but he's gone 10-for-33 (.303) with a homer, RBI and two steals in nine games since April 23 and is on a modest four-game hitting streak.
