Yordan Alvarez Exits Monday's Win Early

Houston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (undisclosed) exited Monday's 8-5 win over the Tigers in the seventh inning after an "uncomfortable slide," per The Athletic's Chandler Rome. Alvarez slid into second base in the sixth inning but stayed in the game, hitting an RBI single in the seventh inning before being pinch-run for by Zach Dezenzo. Alvarez went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk. Fantasy managers should keep an eye out for any more news and should pay attention to Tuesday's lineup card, but it seems that Alvarez can be considered day-to-day. The 27-year-old has struggled in the early going, slashing just .217/.319/.359 with three home runs and 17 RBI in 113 plate appearances.

Michael Harris II Doubles, Steals A Base On Monday

Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II had a productive day in a 6-3 win over the Colorado Rockies on Monday. Harris went 1-for-4 with a double, a run, two RBI, and a stolen base in the winning effort. The veteran ripped a two-run double to break a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning, bringing Marcell Ozuna and Ozzie Albies around to score. Harris is now hitting .243 with five doubles, three homers, 11 runs, 15 RBI, and six steals across 107 at-bats this season. He can be counted upon to provide a modest amount of power and speed to fantasy lineups in deeper leagues.

Jeff McNeil Hits Three-Run Home Run On Monday

New York Mets outfielder Jeff McNeil hit his first homer of the season in a 19-5 blowout win over the Washington Nationals on Monday. McNeil went 2-for-5 with a triple, a homer, and three RBI to help power the Mets to the win. The veteran has logged just 12 at-bats in 2025 after spending the majority of the season on the injured list while recovering from a right oblique strain, but he's wasted little time catching up as he's hitting .333 with three RBI thus far. McNeil will look to stay hot as the Mets open up a series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Ryan Jeffers Homers, Drives In Three On Monday

Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers had a big day in an 11-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Monday. Jeffers went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a homer, two runs, and three RBI in the lopsided win. The veteran backstop ripped a two-run homer in the eighth inning, a shot that traveled 412 feet with an exit velocity of 102.3 MPH. Jeffers is now hitting .257 with seven doubles, one homer, seven runs, and 10 RBI across 74 at-bats this season. He hit 21 homers in 2024, so there is some power in his bat, making him a decent fantasy option at the catcher position.

Dane Myers Hits Grand Slam On Monday

Miami Marlins outfielder Dane Myers had a huge game in a 7-6 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 10 innings on Monday. Myers, who pinch-hit in the sixth inning, wound up going 2-for-2 with a grand slam, but it wasn't enough to top the Dodgers in extra innings. The big night gives Myers a .315 average, to go along with two homers, eight runs, nine RBI, and two steals across 54 at-bats. Myers has not been an everyday player for the Marlins but he will hope to earn a bit more playing time after Monday's game.
