Masyn Winn Officially Reinstated And Starting On Tuesday

The St. Louis Cardinals officially activated shortstop Masyn Winn (back) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned center fielder Michael Siani to Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move, according to the team. Wynn is starting at shortstop and is batting ninth on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves and right-hander Scott Blewett at Camden Yards. The 23-year-old will return to the Cards lineup after a minimal stay on the IL after dealing with mild lower-back spasms. As long as he continues to reside at the bottom of St. Louis' batting order, he won't have a ton of fantasy upside for managers in deep-mixed leagues. The former second-rounder has also gotten off to a slow start in 2025 offensively, batting .222 (10-for-45) with a homer, three RBI and eight runs scored in his first 13 games played.

Mark Vientos Returns To Mets Lineup

New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos (groin) is back at third base and is batting cleanup for Tuesday's contest against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies and left-hander Cristopher Sanchez at Citi Field. Vientos injured his groin on Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals and missed two games as a result, but he'll return for Game 2 of the series against the Phils and will be looking to break out of his early-season slump at the plate. The 25-year-old comes into Tuesday's game hitting just .167 (12-for-72) with two home runs, six RBI, seven runs and 14 strikeouts in 20 games played. He's also gone hitless in seven career at-bats against Sanchez, who has looked very sharp early on in 2025, so we'd suggest that fantasy managers keep Vientos on the bench for at least another day. Before going hitless on Saturday, though, Vientos had a six-game hitting streak, including both of his home runs.

Keibert Ruiz Hitting Cleanup For The Nationals On Tuesday

Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz is batting cleanup for the Nationals on Tuesday against the Orioles. The switch-hitter is off to a solid start for the Nats, hitting safely in 16 of 19 games thus far, slashing .306/.359/.417 with a .346 wOBA and 121 wRC+, putting himself within the top 10 fantasy players at the position to this point. The 26-year-old owns a 10.3 percent strikeout rate in 2025, even better than his strong career mark of 11.0 percent, so he's very adept at putting the bat on the ball. Hitting fourth should afford a better shot at RBIs on Tuesday, and going up against the Orioles' Dean Kremer, who has allowed 13 earned runs in three road starts thus far (14 1/3 IP, 8.16 ERA), should put him under consideration for use in DFS lineups.

Heston Kjerstad Back In Action Against Nationals

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Heston Kjerstad (elbow) is starting in left field and is batting sixth on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals and left-hander Mitchell Parker at Nationals Park. Kjerstad will be available for the series opener against the Nats after sitting on Sunday following a bruised elbow that he suffered on Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds. While Kjerstad has been swinging the bat well early in the season for the O's, fantasy managers may want to look elsewhere in DFS while he faces a left-hander on Tuesday. He's gone 2-for-7 against southpaws early on, but all three of his home runs and all but one of his 12 RBI this year have come against right-handed pitchers. The 26-year-old outfielder enters Tuesday's contest slashing .261/.300/.500 with three homers, 12 RBI and nine runs scored in his first 18 games for Baltimore.

Ben Rice Back For Yankees On Tuesday

As expected, New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice (elbow) is back in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Cleveland Guardians and right-hander Tanner Bibee at Progressive Field, serving as the designated hitter and batting leadoff. Rice suffered a left-elbow contusion after being hit by multiple pitches on Saturday and didn't play on Sunday or for Monday's series opener against Cleveland. The 26-year-old left-handed slugger is back in there on Tuesday, though, and fantasy managers will want to get him back in their starting lineups against a right-handed pitcher. Early on in 2025, Rice has looked like he's primed for a breakout season, hitting .288 (19-for-66) with five home runs, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and two stolen bases as the team's primary DH with Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) out for the foreseeable future. Rice has never faced Bibee in his career.
