Xavier Edwards Shows Off His Speed

Miami Marlins infielder Xavier Edwards kept his hitting streak alive during Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals. Edwards singled in this one and extended his hitting streak to six games. He would show off his wheels as well with two steals during Saturday's win. Edwards finished the day 2-for-4 with two steals and two runs scored. He should be rostered in most fantasy formats right now as he's doing good things at the top of the lineup.

Ozzie Albies Homers Again On Saturday

Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies hadn't recorded a home run since Opening Day until he took Edwin Uceta deep on Friday. Albies continued his power surge during Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. He was having a fairly quiet game until he blasted a solo home run off right-hander Hunter Bigge in the eighth inning. Albies would finish his day 2-for-4 with an RBI and a walk, and a stolen base. Fantasy managers can be hopeful for more performances like this from Albies going forward.

Spencer Torkelson Connects On Two-Run Homer

Detroit Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson has been a nice surprise for this offense early in the season. Torkelson continued his success at the plate during Saturday's game against the Minnesota Twins. The 25-year-old smacked a two-run home run off Kody Funderburk in the sixth inning to help extend the lead. Torkelson would finish his day 2-for-3 with a homer, three RBI, and two runs scored in the victory. He's slashing .314/.419/.647 with four home runs and 10 RBI this season. He's red-hot right now so fantasy managers should take advantage of it while they can.

Ben Rice Smacks Another Homer

New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice has been on a tear at the plate early in the season. He stayed hot at the plate during Saturday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Rice drew a walk and singled early in the game. In the sixth inning, Rice took right-hander Lou Trivino deeo for a solo homer to extend the lead. He finished the day 2-for-4 with a walk, homer, and two runs scored in the win. Rice is slashing an impressive .310/.431/.690 with four homers, five RBI in 13 games. He has been batting in the leadoff spot against right-handed pitching and it appears to be working well.

Fernando Tatis Jr. Smacks Homer In Win

San Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. continued his power surge during Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The right-handed slugger blasted a solo home run in the opening frame to give his team the lead. Tatis struck out the rest of his plate appearances, but would help his team get the 2-0 win. Tatis has hit three home runs over his last four games and has nine RBI on the season. It doesn't seem like the surgically repaired shoulder is holding him back at all this season.
