Jacob Wilson Stays Hot On Rehab Assignment

Oakland Athletics shortstop prospect Jacob Wilson (hamstring) has continued to hit on his rehab assignment after he was injured shortly after making his big-league debut. The A's top prospect has multi-hit efforts in three of his five rehab outings at Triple-A Las Vegas. Overall, he is hitting .398/.454/.622 in 24 games with Las Vegas this season. Wilson's minor-league numbers this year are eye-popping and if he can stay healthy the rest of the season, he could be a worthwhile addition to fantasy teams upon his return to Oakland. In 51 games in the minors this season across three levels, Wilson is hitting .435/.477/.675. His recent performances suggest he is ready to be back soon.

Walker Jenkins Logs Another Multi-Hit Game

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Walker Jenkins recorded his seventh multi-hit game this month for High-A Cedar Rapids with a 2-for-4 performance on Thursday. The 19-year-old is hitting .250/.318/.368 in 19 games since his promotion to High-A. With three different teams this season, Jenkins has totaled three homers and 47 RBI in 61 games. The No. 4 prospect in all of baseball, Jenkins is off to a good start to his professional career although he has been limited a bit this season by injuries. He has taken some time to adjust to High-A, but at 19 years old, that is to be expected. His ceiling is sky-high.

Rhett Lowder Dazzles In First Triple-A Start

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher prospect Rhett Lowder was spectacular in his first Triple-A outing for the Louisville Bats on Thursday night. The right-hander spun a six-inning gem, allowing three hits and no runs with seven strikeouts and no walks. The Reds No. 2 prospect had compiled a 0.65 ERA and a .155 batting average-against in his last five starts at Double-A before his promotion. MLB's No. 35 overall prospect is dealing lately and showing off why he is such a highly-touted prospect out of Wake Forest. Fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on how Lowder closes out this season with an eye toward his debut in Cincinnati next season.

Juan Yepez Goes Yard

Washington Nationals first baseman Juan Yepez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Thursday's victory versus the Colorado Rockies. His home run came in the bottom of the eighth inning, adding some insurance runs for the Nationals late in the ballgame. Yepez burst onto the scene with a smoking hot bat when he was promoted from Triple-A Rochester in early July, but has since cooled off significantly lately. Over the last month, he is now hitting .224 with three home runs and 14 RBI. With his recent struggles, Yepez can safely remain on the waiver wire moving forward. Yepez will look to keep the momentum going on Friday when the Nationals square off against Chris Sale and the Atlanta Braves.

Patrick Corbin Shows Up In Victory

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin earned his seventh quality start of the season on Thursday versus the Colorado Rockies. The veteran earned it by going six innings with four hits, one run, one walk and eight strikeouts. The veteran has been a rollercoaster all season and is now 3-12 with an ugly 5.73 ERA in 26 starts. Next up for the left-hander will be a date against the New York Yankees on Tuesday. Corbin should be avoided in that matchup and in general moving forward with his inconsistencies on the mound.
