
Kansas City Royals starting pitching prospect Steven Zobac continued to stay hot on the bump as he tossed seven two-hit innings while striking out a season-high 12 batters. Entering this start, Zobac carried a 1.26 ERA and a 0.63 WHIP in his last three outings. Prior to this stretch, he posted a hefty 6.62 ERA and 1.70 WHIP in his previous four starts. Overall, since joining Double-A on July 9, the right-hander carries a 2.59 ERA and 0.86 WHIP. Zobac is currently considered the 22nd-best prospect in the Royals pipeline and should contend for a major league debut next summer.

Los Angeles Angels catcher/outfield prospect Gustavo Campero went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run on Tuesday night for Double-A Rocket City. Campero has performed well throughout the 2024 season, slashing .282/.397/.500 with 16 doubles, 14 homers, 44 RBI, 29 stolen bases, and 38:58 BB/SO. Despite an outstanding year, Campero is not listed among the Angels' top-30 prospects according to MLB.com. But if he continues to impress for the Trash Pandas, he's bound to gain some notoriety as well.

Minnesota Twins starting pitching prospect Andrew Morris tossed one of the best starts of his season on Wednesday as he logged seven shutout innings. He allowed just two hits and one free pass while striking out nine batters. This was a big bounce-back for the Texas Tech product as he served a season-high six earned runs in his last start. After getting a brief second look at High-A this summer, he earned a promotion to Double-A, where he has continued to perform quite well. Through his first 61 frames at Double-A Wichita, the 22-year-old sports a 1.90 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 14:63 BB:K ratio. He is currently considered to be the 18th-best prospect in the Twins system on MLB.com and could spend most of next summer at Triple-A if he continues to perform well at Double-A.

Oakland Athletics outfield prospect Denzel Clarke went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two RBI for Double-A Midland on Tuesday night. After a slow start (.580 OPS through May), Clarke has been outstanding over the last few months. Since June 4, he's slashing .333/.380/.614 with 10 doubles, seven triples, eight home runs, 30 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and 9:47 BB/SO. Overall, Clarke has a .806 OPS through 85 games in 2024. Oakland's No. 3 prospect (per MLB.com), he could potentially make his MLB debut this season.


Los Angeles Dodgers catching prospect Diego Cartaya stayed hot at the plate on Wednesday evening by going 2-for-4 with two round-trippers. This extended his current hitting streak to four games. In this span, he has gone deep three times and tallied seven RBI. Overall, through his first 26 games at the top level of the minor leagues, the 22-year-old has posted a strong .263/.348/.444 line with five home runs, 20 RBI, and a 13:30 BB:K ratio. This is a great sign as these numbers are on pace to set new career highs for the young backstop. Dynasty managers should continue to monitor his progression at Triple-A Oklahoma City as he could contend for a late-season major league debut.
