Ignacio Alvarez Hits First Triple-A Home Run

Atlanta Braves infield prospect Ignacio Alvarez launched his first Triple-A home run on Thursday evening. "Nacho" Alvarez made his Triple-A debut on Wednesday, and it has taken him just two games to make a splash at the top level in the minor leagues. The former 2022 draft pick has progressed through the minor leagues very quickly and is now just one stop away from the majors. The 21-year-old made his Double-A debut at the start of this season and posted a solid .265/.381/.312 line with 15 RBI and 16 swiped bases in 48 games. Last season, he spent the entire campaign with High-A and stole a similar 16 bases with seven home runs in 116 games. Alvarez is now a name to closely monitor as he could make a push for a major league debut in the second half of the season if he carries this momentum into Triple-A.

Luke Keaschall Launches First Double-A Home Run

Minnesota Twins second base prospect Luke Keaschall hit his first Double-A home run on Thursday evening. Keaschall was promoted to Double-A Wichita on May 27 and has looked quite strong in his first 16 games with a .344/.444/.492 slash line with two stolen bases, six RBI, and a 9:12 BB:K ratio. The former second-round pick opened the season with High-A and held a stellar .335/.457/.544 line with seven long balls, 21 RBI, and 14 stolen bases in 44 games. The Arizona State product has been progressing through the minor leagues rather quickly and could push for a major league debut next summer. He is worth monitoring in dynasty leagues for the time being.

Grant McCray Hits First Triple-A Home Run

San Francisco Giants outfield prospect Grant McCray launched his first Triple-A home run on Thursday, June 13. McCray was promoted to Triple-A on Monday and has tallied three hits, three RBI, one swiped bag, and a long ball in his first three games. McCray began the season by making his Double-A debut and held a .210/.313/.420 line through 50 games. MLB Pipeline ranks the 23-year-old as the number 13 prospect in the San Francisco system and currently projects him to reach the majors next summer. However, with his recent promotion, he could contend for a spot on the major league roster later this season and could become an interesting stash candidate in deeper redraft leagues if he continues to succeed at Triple-A.

Garrett Crochet Strikes Out 13 Thursday

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Garrett Crochet was masterful against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday, punching out 13 over seven innings in a 3-2 win. He allowed only two hits and two walks. Crochet was left with a tough-luck no-decision, but that doesn't change the fact that this was one of the most dominant starts from any pitcher this year. The lefty has been incredible since May, allowing only six earned runs in 48 IP while striking out a staggering 69. He should be regarded as an elite starting pitcher in fantasy for as long as the White Sox let him pitch.

Justyn-Henry Malloy Smokes Pair Of Extra-Base Hits

Detroit Tigers outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy went 2-for-3 with a homer and a double in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Washington Nationals. He had a run scored and three RBI on the day. Malloy hit a tiebreaking homer in the sixth inning and then broke the game open with a two-run double in the seventh. The 24-year-old has gotten off to a decent start to his big league career, knocking out a pair of homers and hitting to an .888 OPS in eight games. Malloy remains a deep league option for now, but keeping an eye on him would be smart.
