2024 Team Stats

The Milwaukee Brewers have activated left-handed pitcher Jose Quintana (shoulder) off the 15-day injured list prior to his start on Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Quintana has been sidelined since May 14 due to a left shoulder impingement. Before his injury, Quintana was enjoying a solid start to the campaign, posting a 2.65 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP across 34 innings of work. The left-hander struck out just 24 batters but allowed just 11 free passes. Under the hood, he generated a high 4.32 xERA and a .271 xBA, which place him in the 33rd and 24th percentiles among qualified pitchers. With Quintana returning to the rotation, fantasy managers should expect either Chad Patrick or Quinn Priester to transition to a full-time reliever. Quintana is best to fade in DFS facing a potent Philadelphia lineup.

New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo is not in Sunday's lineup when the Mets look to complete the three-game sweep over the Colorado Rockies. Nimmo has started each of the past five games. During this stretch, Nimmo enjoyed a surge at the plate, posting a .421/.476/.632 slash line with one double and one home run. This afternoon, Starling Marte will shift to left field and bat in the two-hole. Fantasy managers should expect Nimmo to return to the starting nine on Monday when they begin a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Through the first 54 games of the campaign, Nimmo has held a .232/.294/.419 line with nine long balls. However, under the hood, he has generated a strong .271 xBA with a .475 xSLG, which suggests he should see some positive regression later this summer. The Mets are a top stack facing Colorado southpaw Carson Palmquist in DFS.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Harrison Bader (finger) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Bader returns to the field after missing the last four games due to a right finger injury. He'll play left field and bat eighth versus right-hander Bryce Miller on Saturday. Usually, the status of Bader isn't too relevant, but he's putting together a strong month of May. He's slashing .321/.391/500 with two home runs, eight RBI, and five steals this month. He could be someone worth considering in AL-only formats right now.

New York Mets right-handed pitcher Paul Blackburn (knee) is expected to return from the 15-day injured list and make his season debut on Monday evening against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Blackburn has been on the injured list throughout the start of the season due to right knee inflammation. Blackburn has logged 29 1/3 innings of rehab work with High-A, Double-A, and Triple-A. Across this stint, Blackburn posted a 3.68 ERA with a strong 1.09 WHIP. With Triple-A, he has held a 2.70 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP. Last season, the 31-year-old logged 75 1/3 innings with the Athletics and Mets and held a cumulative 4.66 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Blackburn's production as he may not be given a permanent role in the starting rotation. For now, he is only worth adding in deeper NL-only leagues.

New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos will get the day off on Saturday when they continue a series against the Colorado Rockies. Vientos has started in each of the past three contests. During this stretch, Vientos went 2-for-11 with a home run and seven strikeouts. During Friday's contest against the Rockies, Vientos went 0-for-3 with three punchouts. This will open up the hot corner for Brett Baty, who is slated to bat in the five-hole. Through 51 games this season, the 25-year-old has had an inconsistent start to the season, holding a .231/.300/.379 line with six home runs. Under the hood, Vientos has generated a low .298 xwOBA, .231 xBA, and a .377 xSLG, which are all well below the average marks. The Mets should be viewed as a top stack in DFS facing Colorado right-hander Antonio Senzatela, who holds a high 6.50 ERA.
