New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo will take a seat on Tuesday evening when the Mets continue a series against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Mets are scheduled to face Philadelphia southpaw Cristopher Sanchez. Nimmo has made just three starts against left-handed pitching through the early part of the campaign. Instead, the Mets will give Jose Azocar the start in left field. He will bat in the nine-hole. Nimmo has begun to find his footing as he has tallied at least one hit in each of his previous four games and five over his last six. Through 23 games this season, the 32-year-old has posted a modest .205/.253/.375 slash line with four home runs. However, under the hood, Nimmo has generated a 55.7 percent hard-hit rate with a .252 xBA, which suggests he should see positive regression in the coming weeks. Azocar is best to fade in DFS facing Sanchez, who enters this game holding a 2.96 ERA.

New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos (groin) is back at third base and is batting cleanup for Tuesday's contest against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies and left-hander Cristopher Sanchez at Citi Field. Vientos injured his groin on Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals and missed two games as a result, but he'll return for Game 2 of the series against the Phils and will be looking to break out of his early-season slump at the plate. The 25-year-old comes into Tuesday's game hitting just .167 (12-for-72) with two home runs, six RBI, seven runs and 14 strikeouts in 20 games played. He's also gone hitless in seven career at-bats against Sanchez, who has looked very sharp early on in 2025, so we'd suggest that fantasy managers keep Vientos on the bench for at least another day. Before going hitless on Saturday, though, Vientos had a six-game hitting streak, including both of his home runs.

New York Mets right-hander Edwin Diaz secured a 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. Diaz pitched one inning while allowing one run and striking out two to pick up his sixth save of the season. It was a rocky inning for Diaz and the Mets as he allowed a three-run homer to Bryson Stott, with two of the runs being charged to reliever Max Kranick. Diaz now has a 1-0 record, 5.59 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 15 strikeouts over 9 2/3 innings of work on the season. He remains perfect in six save chances, despite the ugly ERA. That being said, the longtime Mets closer has a firm grip on the closer role in the Big Apple.

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor had a huge game on Monday, going 2-for-3 with two homers and four RBI in a 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Lindor also walked and scored twice to round out his line. After an ice-cold start to his season, the 31-year-old has completely returned to form over the past few weeks. His season numbers look like normal Lindor numbers as well, with a .284 AVG and .840 OPS to go along with 16 runs, five homers, 13 RBI, and two swipes. He is a five-category contributor and one of the best players in fantasy.

New York Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill was nearly untouchable versus the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. Megill threw 5 1/3 shutout innings, allowing only one hit while striking out a career-high 10 batters in the win. This was Megill's first double-digit strikeout performance since 2021. It's not easy shutting down this Phillies lineup, so Megill deserves a ton of credit. Megill has been extremely effective early in the season, allowing only three total earned runs. He'll take a 1.09 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 30/11 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Washington Nationals. Megill hasn't pitched deep into games, but is well worth a look for fantasy managers seeking pitching help.
