2024 Team Stats

Minnesota Twins outfielder Harrison Bader (groin) was removed from Game 2 of a doubleheader on Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles early with left-groin tightness, the team announced. Bader was removed in the third inning after grounding out. He also had an injury scare in the Game 1 win at Camden Yards during a sliding catch in the outfield. DaShawn Keirsey Jr. replaced Bader in center field. Before leaving, the 30-year-old went 1-for-2 with a single and an RBI in Game 2. It's unclear exactly how serious Bader's groin injury is, but it's a good bet that he won't be active for the series finale in Baltimore on Thursday. His next chance to return would be for Friday's series opener versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Bader entered the day hitting a nice .298/.387/.462 with an .848 OPS, four home runs, 17 RBI, 16 runs and four steals in his 104 at-bats in his first year in Minnesota.

New York Mets second/third baseman Brett Baty had a nice game at the plate in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Pirates. Baty went 2-for-3 with a single and a solo home run. The 25-year-old lined a seventh-inning Mitch Keller offering just over the left-field fence to put the Mets ahead for good. The former fantasy prospect hasn't hit for a high batting average but has provided power in 2025, slashing .239/.270/.521 with five HR, 11 RBI, and a stolen base in 75 plate appearances. While his power is somewhat intriguing, Baty hasn't provided enough overall and has played very little against left-handed pitching, limiting his fantasy value.

Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Jose Quintana (shoulder) is now listed as the team's probable starter for Saturday's game at home against the visiting Minnesota Twins, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. Quintana came out of his last outing last Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays with some soreness in his left shoulder, so the team will push him back a few days to give him a little extra time to recover. The 36-year-old veteran southpaw is expected to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday to see how his arm is feeling. Quintana has a solid 2.65 ERA in his six starts so far in 2025 for the Brew Crew, but he's struck out only 24 in 34 innings, and his 4.58 FIP shows that he's been a bit fortunate in the ERA department. The matchup against Minnesota this weekend is a decent one, but Quintana remains a shaky fantasy streamer with limited upside while dealing with a cranky shoulder recently.

Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Jose Quintana (shoulder) has been dealing with left-shoulder soreness after his last time out last Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays and will get some extra days of rest this week before his next appearance, according to Bally Sports Wisconsin's Sophia Minnaert. Quintana said he was feeling better on Monday and plans to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday to get ready to start on either Friday or Saturday versus the Minnesota Twins. The 36-year-old veteran southpaw went 5 1/3 innings against Tampa, allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits (one homer) while walking two and striking out three for a no-decision. The Twins have been a favorable matchup for pitchers in 2025, but Quintana, who doesn't miss many bats, will be an even riskier fantasy streamer if he starts this weekend. He's gone 4-1 with a nice 2.65 ERA in six starts, but only with 24 K's in 34 innings.

New York Mets outfielder Tyrone Taylor is out of the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates at Citi Field. Jeff McNeil is starting in center field and is batting sixth against Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes. Taylor will get a day of rest after starting in each of the team's last seven games. The 31-year-old veteran has been the Mets' preferred option in center field this year, but he's offered fantasy managers in NL-only leagues very little with one home run, six RBI, 15 runs scored and three steals while batting .241 (26-for-108). In 10 games so far in May, he's gone 8-for-27 (.296) with two doubles, a triple, a steal and six runs scored. After getting a late start to 2025 due to injury, McNeil has gone 9-for-39 with two homers, six RBI and four runs for the Mets. Although he has a homer in three career at-bats against Skenes, he'll be a fade in DFS on Monday.
