Welcome to the prop bet tracker. As MLB season gets into high gear, another way to get in on the action is to analyze the day’s best prop bets – from strikeouts to home runs, first to five runs to total bases logged.

Each day, we will try and identify a few picks that are ready to explode in the prop market.

Gerrit Cole Over 9.5 Strikeouts (-125, BetMGM)

This one almost seems too good to be true, but here we are. Cole faces a Tigers team that leads major league baseball in strikeout rate (28.8%). They've been remarkably consistent, too — in the last 10 days, they've whiffed at a 28.1% clip. And Cole? Well Cole has already whiffed 10 or more hitters at least five times this season. Expect a big night from Cole.

Casey Mize Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-108, BetRivers)

Quietly, Mize has been turning in solid starts recently, including six and seven strikeout efforts in his last two games. The Yankees are coming off a doubleheader and have averaged a 24% strikeout rate over the last seven days. As Mize continues leaning on his slider, his strikeout rate will continue to soar. Expect a lot of whiffs in this game.

Madison Bumgarner Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-125, DraftKings)

This is a theme we have been consistent with, but the Cardinals hammer left-handed pitching — they own a very impressive 10.2% walk rate and 21.3% strikeout rate in this split. That's not particularly good news for Bumgarner, who has been hammered in his last two outings. I'd expect that Bumgarner makes an early exit to the showers.
