Sandy Alcantara Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-128, BetMGM)
The Marlins rotation has taken a massive leap forward so far in the young season, something many predicted. Flush with talented young arms, Alcantara is part of a group of rock-solid hurlers, and he is blessed with a tantalizing matchup Saturday — a Giants offense that ranks as one of the league's worst, posting a .293 wOBA with a 25.4% strikeout rate. Don't ignore their inflated 29.4% strikeout rate against right-handed pitching.
Casey Mize Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-113, FanDuel)
I'll be honest — of all the young arms in baseball today, Mize was one I didn't see starting off so well. He's struck out four and five batters in in his two starts so far, including five against a very good Astros offense. The A's have struggled to start the year offensively, posting a 25.7% whiff rate on the season. Expect Mize to blow past the over Saturday.
Rafael Devers to Hit a Home Run (+425, FanDuel)
Early season slugging really hasn't been Devers’ thing, but oh man is he on a tear recently. Devers has slammed five homers on the young season, bombing his way to a .936 OPS mark on the 2021 season. and, he has a plus matchup against Dylan Cease — for his career, he's carved up same-sided bats, but he has been pummeled by lefties to the tune of a .378 wOBA and .529 slugging percentage. A long ball by the young Red Sox player isn't out of the question.
