Yu Darvish OVER 6.5 strikeouts vs. Arizona (-149, BetMGM) 

Saturday’s Julio Urías under selection was equivalent to what occurred at the Tour de France. If you missed it, some next-level idiot extended a cardboard sign in an attempt to get noticed on television and made contact with a rider who then wiped out half the field. Brilliant. Still pedaling uphill, this baseball bettor is spinning wheels once again on Darvish. Against the basement-dwelling Diamondbacks, his strikeout prop is oddly suppressed. He’s reached seven strikeouts or more in nine of 15 starts, including two of his past three. Equally important, his called plus swinging strike percentage (31.1%) is on pace to outdistance his career average (30.6%) in the category. Darvish did lay an egg in his season opener against the D-Backs, banking just six strikeouts over 4.2 IP. Arizona is No. 15 in strikeout percentage this month, but their .635 OPS over the same span explains why they’ve only won three games since June 1. Likely to push to seven innings, Darvish should score dollars for his backers.
