We’re heading to Toronto Wednesday afternoon as we look to stay perfect with our writeups. I’m going to keep this short since this prop is already on the move. 

The Tigers had one of the highest strikeout rates against right-handed pitching last year at 24.7%, it’s down slightly in a small sample size in 2023. Overall this season Detroit is tied for the second-highest K% at 26.7%.

Kevin Gausman finished last season with the eighth-highest K% in baseball at 28.3% – which was good enough to rank in the 83rd percentile. The righty’s strikeout percentage is sitting at 27.5 so far this season — with a chase rate in the 93rd percentile.
