Welcome to our final regular season Sunday edition of MLB Best Bets! After a long 161-game stretch, we will take a look into the series finale between two NL Central rivals, the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers.
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs
The Cubs had an electric summer that came to a crashing end, as they struggled down the stretch of the season and lost 11 of their last 16 games to miss the postseason.
The Milwaukee Brewers, on the other hand, have cliched another NL Central crown and will be playing October baseball. The Brew Crew stayed steady and consistent throughout the season, boosted by a resurgence from their star outfielder Christian Yelich. Yelich had the most hits (152) and RBIs (76) he’s had in a season since 2019.
Though the Cubs have won three of the last four meetings, we’ll simply back the Brewers to close out the season at home with a win against a depleted Cubs lineup. The Cubs have elected to sit their starters for this afternoon’s game, including Cody Bellinger, Dansby Swanson and Ian Happ.
